That was just a rumor awhile back about Instead going off the market- they are still being sold. Go to Target and they are sold there! I bought a box after getting the Keeper just to compare the two, and I like the Keeper much better. The box of Instead (expensive, I might add) is still sitting in my bathroom closet, unused. For me, the Instead leaked consistently where the Keeper doesn't. And I thought Instead was messier for disposal.

If you like Instead, there is a good chance you'll love the Keeper. I didn't stear you wrong on the Magic Lotion, did I? ;)

most defintely wasnt going the wrong direction with the magic lotion i even got my mom to buy some!!

See? Maybe you can recommend the Keeper to her, too.

I know this is an ancient thread, but I'm reviving it for all the new people here. The topic of the Keeper came up in discussion this morning with a friend from the board, so I thought I'd bring it back for others to benefit.

I've been using the Keeper for almost a year now and really love it. It got easier and easier to use, and it is now second nature to me. No spills, no leaks. It has given me more freedom than I ever imagined to do things without worrying about being near a bathroom. I can't stand the mess of using anything else anymore.

Try it! You'll like it!

I've never tried the keeper, but it's just a personal thing, I'm chicken shit when it comes to trying something new for the first time! LOL For what it's worth, I use cloth pads. They're a little bulky at first, but they feel so much nicer than the disposables--especially for those first days after giving birth! ;) And they're supposedly also better for the environment:). I think there are some ads for them at http://www.compleatmother.com . If not, I know a company called many moons makes them, maybe you can search their name. Hello to everyone! I'm new here, so if I commit any faux pas, please forgive me:)!

so doesn't having this Keeper thing sort of desensitize your vagina to when your lover inside you again?

Nope, actually quite the opposite. ;)

okay, how is this so??? uhm, medially speaking i guess. or any explaination you have is good enough for me.

thanks.

If anything, many women are MORE sensitive (read that as horny) at the beginning of their period. There's a whole thread on this around here somewhere. I was trying to keep this thread as a public service announcement, but I guess this IS a porn site. LOL. So, think of the Keeper as being something nice and stiff inside of you. It can add to your pleasure for having something to "clamp down on" with your muscles if you are stimulating your clit to make yourself come - i.e. masturbating. Once the Keeper is out though, it is out. It has no more effect on your vaginal sensitivity than using tampons or toys. Does that help?

I have a Keeper and I love it. I rarely leak anymore. I no longer have to pack all that bulky shit in my suitcase (except for the emergency panty liners, which are thin.) AND because it's rubber and you don't throw it out, it's environmentally friendly too. Just a little soap and water.

I think everyone should give it an honest try. THey have a money back guarantee, for goodness sake.

Oh yea.........I remember this thread.......YUCK..........

Ummmmm Wizzie? How come you're here and not Skitten? The topic seems to apply just a bit more to your wife. ;)

Oh, for goodness sake! After some of the things I've seen on this site, to get disgusted by a discussion like this!? You've got to be kidding me! LOL
Hugs! Mary Jane

Thanks Cheyanne.

You just made me really glad I'm not a chick. Now I know why you gals get so nutty every once in a while.

At least they have an excuse, instead of being controlled by their hormones all the time.

Thanks for the info, Cheyenne. This has been an excellent post. I plan to pass it on to many of my friends asap!
To female friends, I assume? Be prepared for them to think you have lost your mind, unless they are the type of women who are more open minded and frequent a site like Lit. Read the beginning of the thread for the likely reaction you'll get from women in RL. It's a great product, but definitely not mainstream America.

Great link, it's about time something changed. Does anyone else use their diaphragm for the same purpose? I discovered that by accident a couple years ago.... wish I put a patent on it too! Asked my MD and she said it ok as long as it's kept super clean.

NNaawwww not sgueemish....don't really bother me but just kinda don't need to know all about this.....best left to you girls..........Don't matter to me............That time of the month never slowed us down any.....:D

In response to the reply concerning cloth menstrual pads...They are fabulous-I sewed my own but almost any decent health food store-i.e. Fresh Fields, Whole Foods or Bread and Circus- should be able to order them for you. I wore a cup when I swam varsity-many moons ago, and it was great-no achy tampon feeling and no pads. But I have been doing a lot of moon rituals in the last five years to say nothing of the Dioxin research I have done-Freaky stuff. So it is nice soft flannel pads for me. I don't have very regular menses so I welcome it when it comes. I just began doing it again after almost 5 years of nursing and Depo induced ammnorhea(sp?. I love those soft nuturing pads. But if my flow continues to be this heavy I may need to look into this-I will definitely be passing this info on to friends.
