For women: How to almost forget you're having your period

Even better...

For those of you ladies who are on the pill, try taking it successively for three months or so (completely safe and doctor approved). You'll only have your period quarterly, and it's not any worse than a normal, monthly flux. In fact, mine was barely there at all. It's more natural, anyway. In the older days, women didn't have their periods nearly as often as we do these days! So if history can do it, so can we! This also works for the shot (Depo-Provera), if you're not weird like me and have your period for two months on end when you're on depo. I even asked my doctor about this and she reccomended it!

I'm still not getting why it's better than tampons or pads? I mean, yeah, there is the convenience of not getting caught without or having to tow them along. But I get the feeling that you LIKE this better, but I'm not quite sure why.

Or maybe it's because it's 11 pm and I have a headache.

I do LIKE it better. I find the Keeper is cleaner- less chance of leaks. It is cheaper- nothing to buy each month if you don't want to. I still usually wear a pantiliner as extra protection "just in case." I only have to empty it twice in 24 hours- much less frequent than pads or tampons have to be changed. That means I deal with my period in my own home bathroom and not in public stalls, which I also like. The Keeper has the effect of shortening the length of the period for some women- as it has for me. I'm not a big "save the environment" kind of person, but the Keeper is much better for the environment than used tampons and pads.

As I said, the Keeper essentially allows me to forget I'm having my period. That's the best thing about it.

Befor my wife had her hysterectomy, some thirty+ years ago, she would use her diaphram to contain any flow while we had our "Passion Parties."

It was very effective as a container, and the one time that she forgot to remove it 'till the next afternoon it caused no after effects at all. Didn't leek either.

sigh
