Back in the day, there was a colour called "Eau de Nil" which was a sort-of Green colour.
I(t was usually matched (if that is the right word) with some sort of contrasting cream-coloured gloss goo.
Hospitals, Prisons and a lot of Government buildings featured this ghastly colour scheme.
We usually reckoned it was the cheapest to produce, therefore cheaper to buy, therefore cost the government less.

That is kosher for sure, HP but I doubt Dagwood cared--although had he known about them, he would have put them in his sandwich too.

We never see Blondie's sandwich. Maybe she prefers to swalllow sausages so the proteins don't go straight to her hips.

I think that my daughter discovered that a long time ago.
Later she discovered what cheap bleach can do to your head.
It took ages to recover, as I recall.
