Many Liberals say, oh so what? But then would shit their trousers if a white guy was being considered to play Booker T. Washington.

Your'e aware that Booker T. Washington was an REAL PERSON, right? Not an author's character creation.

Jesus fuck...

What the fuck difference does it make, fucking idiot. James Bond was patterned after real people too, but that aside, how would a white John Shaft, or a white Morpheus, or a white Django, go over?

You've got to the point that we don't even have to make fun of you anymore.

James Bond was PATTERNED after real people, he is not a historical figure....that's the difference, fucking idiot.

No reason we can't have a white Morpheus, or Shaft, Django doesn't quite work because that pesky factual history bit where white folks didn't enslave other white folks in the American south....a factual and historical setting critical to the fictional story....fucking idiot.

You've got to the point that we don't even have to make fun of you anymore.

It's enjoyable pointing it out and rubbing his nose in it though :D

He wasn't however a real person. White Shaft, Morpheus, would work just fine. White Django wouldn't since a white guy could pretty much just walk around in that era.

There were indentured servants, which were not the same as slaves, because they signed on for it and received some benefit and their contracts eventually ended. Even so, they did not have freedom to strike out on their own until after their contracts expired.

Which really isn't the same thing and even if it was indentured servants who chose for whatever reason to run away they could blend in with the populace. And in the event they were freed they didn't have to worry much about being snatched up and forced back into servitude. Also they volunteered.
