Gambling Debt

Joey looked down at her fit with his lips pressed tightly together. He didn't want to have her like this. He knew it wasn't her conscious fault. She just crumbled under the emotional pressure. But at the same time there was nothing he could do about it. She had to be a good slave or he would lose face. And he didn't want to do that in the circle of people among whom 'losing face' may very well involve a chainsaw.

On the other hand, he was mad. Considering her circumstances, Sable was in a very good position thanks to him. And here she was making his life harder than it needed to be. 'What, would it kill her to pretend to be a wanton slut and fuck wildly with him? Hordes of other chicks don't seem to have a problem, but precious Sable here wouldn't do it to save her life. Shit!' He thought angrily.

"Get up." He said. "Get up, Sable!" The firm repeat was in a voice she couldn't ignore. Joey looked her in the eyes for some time, not smiling, but not angry either.

"Go take a shower, Sable."

~ she visably winced at the tone to His words.. but she took a deep breath and got up... slowly... her eyes captured in His... she saw .. deep within... His disappointment...

"I... I'm sorry... Joey" she manages to whimper... she knew He was not happy... she knew He was trying to be understanding.. if He wasn't... she'd most likely be beaten or dead now... she did not know how to make Him understand how she felt.. she just wanted to be a normal teenager again... and that.. was never going to happen..

She does not approach Him... she backing up and finally turning to go into the bathroom.. shutting the door behind her... once the shower was running... she steps in.. letting the water drown out her sobbing... she sinking to the floor of the tub... just wanting someone .. even Joey.. to come in and comfort her... once she was too exhausted to cry anymore.. she turned off the water.. dried off.. and still wrapped in the towel.. she came back into the bedroom.. not sure if Joey were still there or not ~

Joey still sat there, on the bed and fully dressed now, unlike she left him. The bed was also made neatly. He didn't look angry, nor exceptionally happy. Just slightly pleased to see her and be in her company.

"Why don't you get dressed, Sable." He suggested motioning towards the closet. He turned away from her, giving the girl privacy.

"Shower makes you feel better." He said, half-asking.

When she was done, Joey patted the bed next to him. When she sat down he touched her arm.

"Shh... Don't appologise, Sable. Just listen." He spoke softly, touching her lips with his finger gently to stop the sorries that seemed ready to fall off her lips under his loving, but disappointed gaze.

"I love you, babe, and I care for you." He gave her a small smile and a soft, dry kiss.

"Sometimes life does things we have no control over. It just happens and all we can do is live with the consequences. We can not like it; it can be hard, but sometimes there is no way to turn back. Sometimes all we can do is just try and make the best of what we have.

"I love you, Sable. But you're not my girlfriend, you are not a high school girl. You're a slave."

He shook his head seeing her previous sorrow returning.

"No. Don't cry. Don't fight." He kissed her eyes. "There is nothing you can do. But the good news is that you are mine."

"Look me in the eyes, Sable. Tell me that you love me like you told me before. Tell me that you will do anything for me. And then remember it, and do."

"Why don't you get dressed, Sable."

She nodded and went to the closet... pulling on a pair of jeans.. black blouse...

"Shower makes you feel better?"

"alittle" she admitted.. as she sat on the bed next to Him.. listening to what He had to tell her....

His words hurt.. and it was all she could do not to burst into tears.. she wondered if He really understood... He spoke of life.. and having no control.. of dealing with what was handed to you....

"I love you, Sable. But you're not my girlfriend, you are not a high school girl. You're a slave"

She turned away at those words... her head and eyes down... close to tears...

"No. Don't cry. Don't fight." He kissed her eyes. "There is nothing you can do. But the good news is that you are mine."
"Look me in the eyes, Sable. Tell me that you love me like you told me before. Tell me that you will do anything for me. And then remember it, and do."

"I... I do love You Joey... You are all I have... " she manages to stammer... "I will do... anything for You... Joey... I'm still scared.. please understand that... please... " she begged...

She would try and deal with this .. and not disappoint Joey anymore... she snuggled into Him.. seeking .. needing.. His comfort... His reassurance... she wanted Him to love her... to protect her.. and take her out of this... prison she was now trapped in.. ~

Joey's lips finally lit up with a small smile for her. He couldn't stay angry or impassive for very long. Not with Sable, anyway.

"I know..." He hugged her gently and pulled her to his body tighter.

"I know you are scared. This is all unusual. It just piles up like a ton of bricks on your beautiful little shoulders..." He caressed her back and shoulders.

"Don't worry about anything and don't be scared. You're mine and I will protect you..." He paused and kissed her head lightly, then looked into her eyes. "Do you trust me, Sable? Then you shouldn't be scared. Just always do what you promised for me and always love me."

He kissed her again, on the lips this time. The kiss was dry, but long, soft and caring, an instrument of sharing feelings and trust rather than one of lust. When it was over, Joey pulled back a little, smiling and looked into her face, hoping to see a smile there as well, or at least an expression of peace.

"Don't worry about anything and don't be scared. You're mine and I will protect you..."

"Do you trust me, Sable? Then you shouldn't be scared. Just always do what you promised for me and always love me."

~ Nodding to His words... she leans into Him.. appreciating His words... His touch.. and His kiss... it seemed to her.. the more she thought about it.. that He perhaps needed genuine love as much as she needed it at this moment... maybe He was as trapped here as she was..

"I will always trust You Joey".. she whispered.. more to herself than to Him... "I promise"...

As she looks up and into His eyes.. she felt a bit better.. she still wondered why He could not just let her go... but she did not understand the politics of the mob... or what her own father had done... she wondered for a moment how he was coping with what he had done to his only daughter...~

Joey smiled at her words and held her. He liked having her in his arms. It made her so peaceful and happy. Well, more so than usual, anyway. She couldn't quite yet be fully happy. She wanted to be elsewhere, which was a pity, because she couldn't go back to her normal life anymore.

He held her for a while, thinking, inhaling the exotic smell of her hair. Suddenly, it dawned onto him that perhaps part of the pressure she was under was due to this room. It was large enough, yes, but it was the only thing, besides the garden, she could see. She must have felt imprisoned in it. Joey smiled and pulled away enough to look into her eyes.

"What do say we go out somewhere, Sable?"

"I can trust you enough not to try and run away, right?" He smiled, but it was a serious question. It was for her own safety mostly. Like he told her earlier, if she ran, people would find her and probably not be too kind with her.

"Every girl likes shopping, right?" He grinned.

"What do say we go out somewhere, Sable?"

"rrreally???" she stammers... staring up at Him...

"I can trust you enough not to try and run away, right?"

"I won't run.. Joey.. not from you... I promise"

~ She just wanted to get out.. anywhere was better than that room.. where she felt like she was in a cell...

"Every girl likes shopping, right?"

Her eyes lit up... shopping... she loved to go shopping... just to walk around the Mall... she loved that...

"yesss.. yes... " she smiled at Him... "please"...

She could not believe He would take her shopping... He really was not a bad guy.. she thought to herself...

"when.. now???? " she was sooo desperate to get out of that room.. but she had no idea what time it was... was it tooo late... what about tomorrow...

OOC: I lost track of what time of day it is as well. Let's just say it's still evening and everything is open.

Joey's smile grew bigger, seeing her extatic reaction. She was like a little girl who's been promised a living, breathing pony to ride, all impatient, exhaulted anticipation. He took her hand in his, loving her in this state, enjoying the touch.

"Sure, let's go right now. Would you like to dress up in something else, or just go like this?"

After she was ready, Joey led Sable out of the room and down the corridors until they finally arrived to the humongous underground garage. Fishing out his keys, Joey unlocked a sporty black BMW and opened the front door for her invitingly, before circling the car and getting into the driver's seat.

As he started up the engine, radio turned on, filling the car with softly flowing classical music. He glanced at Sable, watching if she would be surprised he listened to it. Most people were, assuming a young guy, even if Italian, would prefer modern music.

After a fairly short ride he pulled up into the mall's parking lot, nicely skipping a few unoccupied handicapped parking spaces and pulling into a space farther away. He turned off the car and glaced at Sable. He loved seeing her this happy.

"Let's go." He smiled.

They walked through the front enterance and were greeted by the lights, sounds and hassle of a typical shopping mall. Joey took her hand again.

"Lead the way, darling. It's your shopping spree."
