Hey Everybody...it seems this thread has seen better days. How is everybody? What games are everybody playing? I'm still doing WoW. I just got the Loremaster of Northrend Achievement on my Mage. Now, I just have to get it for Outlands, Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor (sigh). Also, I've been playing Worms 2 on my 360...anxious for TMNT 4: Turtles in Time...

So how is everybody else? Anyone else excited about any new games? Anyone upset about a game?

Otherwise, this is just a somewhat lengthy bump.

I'm still just dorking out in WoW, still trying to kill frigging Yogg on 25 man, and trying to keep the guild and raid going through the summer months when everyone loses their motivation. All in all, it's getting rather boring and I'm not even working on achievements anymore. I'm having more fun teaching intelligent newbies how to play on non-raid nights than anything else.

Beyond that I'm impatiently waiting for Blizzard to release the next batch of crack. I have downloaded a couple of old school style adventure games, but have yet to find anything that really holds my attention for more than an hour or two.

I'm still dorking too Right now I'm working on achievements the most. I want Ambassador for the Alliance before level 40 - I have a friend who did it at 42 so we'll see - I am also working on World Explorer - should have Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms done by level 60

I'm glad you help newbies learn and like the use of "intelligent" I have a newbie in the guild who is driving me nuts... ten seconds after I log on she invites me to a party {even tho we might be on separate continents and not actually quest together} and I will see her health bar and her minion's {she's 24 warlock right now} - Her minion's health is nearly full level and she's losing her own fast I try to tell her the things that make my lock work, but doesn't seem to be working *sigh* - OK off to the Wetlands now

I hate it when people 20 levels above you say they can run you through an instance {of your level} and "sure we can 2-man it" and then they DIE not once but twice and you live through the fight they died in!

It's no wonder I didn't do any instances for the very first time til I was level 68 {UK}

It's no wonder I didn't do any instances for the very first time til I was level 68 {UK}

yeah. The other party members were around level 160 or so...I was about 110.....still trying to figure that out, since I was the only Force (the mage of PSO....)

I miss Half-Life 1...and Op-4...old school, FPS...now-a-days, it's too much of the arcade-y FPS games. Or, it's too much of the over the top. *sigh* I'm getting old. I miss Pong...and Star Wars, the old Vector Graphics, Sit-Down Arcade Game. Now there's FPS at it's Finest. Or Combat...the first RTS. Man...I'm old.

Also, I'm happy to say, I was able to lure an old friend back into WoW...I hadn't seen him in 4 years, irl, since he'd joined the Air Force. Now, he lives in Arizona, has a kid and is married. But, by my evil powers, I was able to lure him back into the folds of WoW. Muahahahaha.

For those looking for "Old School' games, you might want to look at GoG.com. It's a DRM free gaming platform. You do have to buy the games, but it's cheap, like $5 or so a game. It's got Fallout 1 and 2, some of the older RPG's, RTS' and other fun bitz.

Just thought I'd impart that bit of wisdom.

Aside from that...how is everybody's gaming lives going? My friend is sending me a Beta Key for Starcraft II...I'm super PSYCH'd.

I just beat a star ocean game for the first time (technically the second, but when I originally beat Star Ocean: The Second Story, my disc was so badly damaged that it locked up during the cinema immediately following the final battle). Star Ocean: First Departure am beat....now to do it again with different characters (or take on the cave of seven stars)

Stupid thing I did while playing WoW..

Im a night elf was passing through a town with high level Horde killing everything.. Needed to get on a ship to go where I needed to go and in my excitement I accidentally ran right off the end of the dock.

So ya I had to swim all the way around and run through the Horde Gauntlet again..

At least you weren't like many of us and ground out 10k+ Gold to get Epic Flying...and now, with rep, it'd cost us 2k less per Toon. I'm just saying. On the upside, I'm now only like 6 Mounts from the 50 Achievement...which gets me an Albino Drake. Yay.

Also, I'm peeved at Blizzard. They give us a Mind Control attachment for Helms, but we can't stick them on our Engineering Helms because we can use them to see far away. Please, for the LOVE of all that's holy, let us get rid of the Zoom on the helm. /bitter.

Congratz on the Mount. What type did you get?

As for the Town Ganking. Yeah, I've had that happen. Saddly, Whored and Alliance do it to either side. I can't say how many times I used to see, "Ashenvale is Under Attack!"

I have one of those and a striped one too along with a chestnut mare - I will be collecting the mounts too now that I am less than 1800 rep points away from being an Ambassador *happy dance* {at level 37 right now so I know I can do it before 40 }
