Ooooh. Purty.

I'm somewhat stalled at 78 because I really pushed to get the Kaluak Fishing Pole and the Pengu and obsessed for a bit on faction and burned out.

But I'm playing EQ II now so that's okay.

i'm working fishing on my DK now.

monotinous

(wonder if I can convince the grub that fishing is fun???? get me a little spawn-bot)

:D

Heh. Yeah, I ran around like a maniac getting every single Midsummer Festival accomplishment done...and getting every daily quest done...and the second I got my fishing pole and Pengu and the "Somebody Likes Me!" achievement, I breathed a deep sigh and logged off.

Now I just log on once a day to one of my 20 chars to check their mail, do an interest check, and log off. I try to do one quest or something. But meh. I'm officially burned for a bit probably.

I'm not evein doing both sets of Inscription research on both servers daily obsessively!

But I AM working on my werewolf lore and legend in EQ2.

New obessions are always in play.

25th exalted rep today, got my tiny spore bat and sporeggar tabard ^.^ Also, wiped on mimiron hard for a good long time, but our raid leader and her husband juuust left for holiday in europe today. We're a little lacking without 2 of our better players.

80 stacks of titanium in my bank to be prospected for epic gems, its the monopolist in me :D

i'm down to looting (probably from the auction house) 26 Inscription tomes & i am DONE!!!!

I bought Spore a few weeks back, & mess with that ocasionally. only reason I am not burned is that I don't play much. did Naxx 10 last night (until Gluth. was a alt run & we just couldn't get the zombies under control), then got into Sunwell to help finish it.

thats more raiding than I have done in over a month!

most night find me desperately trying to make a coherant post on one of my story threads or veging out with a book or TV.

Summer is kicking my butt!

on a different note thats the first time I have raided with that UI. Stil tweaking it, but so far I like it. Not too cluttered & I get all my info

So I've noticed :p

What EQ2 server Recdiva? I quit DDO since they're taking so long to put out mod 9 and I had maxxed all my characters, so I started EQ2 on Antonia Bayle.

I've been console-less for many months now, but strangely I'm actually not particularly concerned about getting a replacement Xbox now I have the financial means to do it. I don't quite know why this is. Also, A THOUSAND POSTS WOO.

*muffled giggle*

I'm still...um...no, I'm kinda gone.

But Ulaven's there! He just found "The Hatch" (a la "Lost") in the Shalzar Basin yesterday. Funny.

I'm afraid the outhouse in Grizzly Hills grossed me out. Don't ask.

BUT! You're promoted and such. Hopefully no more invite problems. And if you raid the guild vault (well...mostly it's stuffed with food, but I did get my cooking to 450) I probably won't notice. So there's that!

There was just a day where I hit 78, put on all my leathercrafted cool blue gear I'd made myself, summoned my Pengu and said "Okay, I don't want to fish."

I guess I am also hanging fire on a patch a bit. I want cheaper, lower level mounts, dammit. When do I want 'em? Now!

I'm on Lucan D'Lere. I have 12 characters all at about 36-37, with all the crafts either even or about 10 levels above (because paradoxically you have to be a level 40 crafter to make a full set of level 30 gear...)

But the cool thing for me there is I don't have to buy a damned thing. I make everything, all my characters can share the same vault space and guild vault. And I love having diety quests, collection quests, status stuff, found quests, lore and legend...

I got myself one of those Sony memberships that gives me access to all their games. I even go play Everquest I every now and again for the nostalgia factor. Okay...I go play it on patch days and downtimes. But I'm interested in trying out their new "merc" system where you can buy an NPC mercenary (tank or healer) to hang out with you.

Tuesdays in Warcraft piss me off because it's one of my days off. Now I've diversified my addictions so I can't be effectively cut off.

If you want to show up there, there's a ready made guild (okay, another guild vault stuffed with collectibles and gathered stuff...I tend to take up space...)

But I can make just about anything you'd need up to level 40ish.

Woo Hoo! A Thousand Posts!

Console-less...*shudder*

Don't say things like that.

My daughter's about to move out and we're going to convert her room into a home gym, which means we need a new Wii for workouts. That'll make a PS3, two X-Box 360s, Two Wii's, about five PS2s and a happy home.

And I was playing the arcade version of "Magic The Gathering" last night on X-Box 360, cursing blue decks and blue deck owners. I know I've been one, and all love to ninjas, but I hate blue decks. Give me red or black or green where I can die fast, not white or blue where the game's going to go on for two hours. My kids were cracking up because I was cursing blue decks and blue deck owners and my husband is telling me like we tell our son "Now, if you get upset, why don't you find something else to do?"

"NO! AAAUGH! STOP PUTTING MY BLANCHWOOD ARMOR ENCHANTED WURM BACK IN MY HAND! OVERRUN! OVERRUN!"

It's funny if you know the game. If you don't, that's...well, I apologize.

Thank you. I appreciate the promo's. It does make it easier to get our endless alts into the guild. The food though? I appreciate it, but, well, it's all "Requires Level 70" etc to use. So it'll be a wee bit before it gets touched

I say "I don't want to fish" all the time. Do the same in RL too. Fishing is not my thing. The only time I fish in WoW now is to get food.

You're welcome! If you need anything else, I'm not really gone! Just...well, not gone fishin'. This obsessive burst is winding down but there's always a new obsessive burst around the bend.

That guild vault is definitely a testament to obsessive fishing and cooking if there ever was one. All of my characters are loaded up with more fish they can eat, and there's still that overflow.

But...I gots my fishing pole!

And my Pengu! So! Cute!

But as a result it's going to be a little while before I want to put puppies in bags, rehabilitate the sex lives of sea cows, or pick up boxes of stuff.

If that doesn't make sense, it's probably best it stays that way.

Makes perfect sense in a daily kind o grind way;)!

I'm really grateful for the number of quests they've put in and the variety.

That was one of my biggest gripes before leaving the first time - not enough soloable quests. Now they're faster, funnier, better rewards and for the first time - quests go gray before I can get to them compared to everything in my log being red and undoable.

I do wish the quest log had more slots though. I hate canceling harder quests or ones I just can't get to yet when I'm partway done, just to make more room.

Totaly agree 25 is not enough since i don't have quest helper and the quests sometimes stack up as I'm trying to figure them out.

Anyone like Nintendo games? Legend of Zelda? Mario Bros.?

That's the stuff I grew up on and it's what I typically play.

Same here or wowwiki.

I end up having to do that myself, but for me, my sense of direction and memory is - extraordinarily poor. And she doesn't learn. Poor stunted thing.

As I play games mostly for the amusement and the pretty, and not so much the accomplishment, I get frustrated fast at having to check a map, check a location, check a map, check a location...and STILL get lost constantly.

As much as I game, I still consider myself to be a casual gamer, not much of a groundbreaker or explorer or interesting in doing the hard stuff. Which is why I avoid group and dungeon quests. The only real thing I have going for me is a decent patience for repetition and some patience with that, making my version of game playing unbearably boring for other people.

I do occasionally like a challenge. I never, ever have fun figuring out how to get there, though.

Even in reality, my sense of direction is so bad that my husband bought me a GPS so I won't end up calling him from my cell phone asking him how to figure out how to get me home. He jokes that he's going to find me some day outside in the front yard crying and walking circles around the tree, unable to find the house.

Games without maps defeat me. I played Camelot with maps for years and still managed to get lost right outside the main castle.

My husband found Quest Helper for me too.

I like Thottbot more than Wowwiki.

I guess I'm not really nostalgic about old consoles, but I'll grab versions of puzzle games. I never really was all that good at platformers, but Klaxx and Tetris...I'll always have a version of those around.

I like Bejeweled now too.
