You caught it fast and Blizzard will reimburse stuff, I know. I reported mine two years later and they couldn't confirm my equipment, but they did throw money at me. Hopefully with a little fuss she'll be back up and marauding.

I hope so. It flat ruined her night yesterday, and mine and MIS' too. Poor thing was so frustrated that she was almost in tears. Luckily the majority of the money is sitting on the bank toon on my account, so we can fairly easily rebuild her. At our level, the gear is just not all that expensive. I'm mostly worried about the trade skills, as I hear that hacked accounts often have their professions deleted, and I know she'll cry if she has to redo all of that.

nope, everything means everything. they pull the info off your last login before the hack (check the armory page & you can see if they just emptied her or deleted it)

you get everything back except for maybe gems & enchants, but usually those are good as well

she's good.

The only problem is random equipment drops. They can't reimburse all the random stuff. Crafted and quest is fine, but that's the only thing that she won't get back. Even if her characters were deleted, they'll just go back and restore from login before the change.

Her main is Horde, but not there. I appreciate the offer though.

I'm glad to hear that they just go back to the log-in before. I'm utterly unworried about enchants, as she is the enchanter and can redo her own stuff. A fair portion of her armour was made by MIS' leatherworker too, so no sweat there. All in all, we have the technology. We can rebuild her.

Just need to get her back.

I am actually interested in some of the new race/class combos. I think tauren goes pretty well with paladin, and trolls and druids could work too. I guess I see it as a cross-pollinisation of cultural memes. The trolls are animistic already, and have a very strong spiritual side. It is not a huge leap to pull them into druidic practices. And tauren already have the proper sense of honour, martial traditions, and self-control to be paladins.

I'm actually non-plussed by the worgen, same as I'm basically non-plussed by the Draenei. We've got a Draenei group, but they just haven't grabbed me.

Goblins are dead cool. I like short races, but want halflings, dammit. I don't like the male gnome hairstyle and face choices, as they're too one-note for my tastes, same as the human male model. Though the human male model is just kind of poorly done in general, and way too blocky. It has nothing on the mess that is the night elf male, but that's another story.

Worgen vs. Goblin

For me there is no choice. Worgen, all the way.

I'm a huge fanboy of Werewolves in general. If there is a story, movie, or book about Vampires and Werewolves, I always side with the wolves. What I find particularly attractive with Werewolves is the "Beast within" idea. It goes hand-in-hand with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and The Incredible Hulk, that beneath the calm mild, sometimes nerdy, exterior there lies, in waiting, a terrible strength and ferocity ready to be unleashed at any given moment. Also, I live in a very rural area, so the idea of a Werewolf rampaging through the swamps and woods is very plausible to me.

With my already given affinity for Werewolves it was an instant decision for pet and I to roll Worgen on day 1 of Cataclysm. :) I'll be a warrior, she will be a druid. This will be my second time leveling a warrior to level cap, and her third druid! I think she likes that class, not sure.

I, personally, can't wait for the paid faction transfer option to come available. My undead warrior is sitting there collecting dust and I would love to have him back to tanking asap. That and all the Boa items he has earned that I can bring over and share with my lowbie ally toons. :D

We have a night elf Hunter in our guild who has worg as a pet, rather cool. Human Hunters also makes sense, not sure about dwarf shamans tho.

I'm sure I'll make a worgen toon. I just want a bruiser.

I'm thinking about "Fuggedaboudit" as a name. :D

Very nice!

You should make a guild called <Jersey Shore> to go with that, Homburg. :D

Jockdom, that's interesting because that's one of the least "controversial" combinations announced. Personally, I love it. I'm playing with the idea of switching my shaman over from spacegoat to dwarf when this becomes availible. My motto is: if you can't go Horde, go Dwarf!

Side note: I can't wait to see the Troll and Worgen druid forms. They *finally* got around to updating the traditional Ne and Cow forms and then they slap this whammy down.

Speculation: Troll forms will look a lot like the animal gods from Zul'gurub and Zul'Aman (yeah, i know, "Duh, shit Sherlock.").
Examples might be:
Flying form: Eagle from the Zul'jin encounter or Bat from ZG (bat would be way cooler IMO)
Bear form: ummm perhaps the bear god form from ZA?! But thats too... obvious, instead they could use transform into a Troll Berzerker to tank. (that would rock!)
Cat form: Instead of the Lynx (from ZA) they could become Raptors (a la ZG)!

I'm just saying that they don't have to mimic the current Druid forms in style or apperance. If Blizz wants to, they can really take this and have fun with it and give people some really interesting choices. Instead of just putting tusks on the current forms and calling that the "New Troll Forms".

The Worgen forms will be... interesting to say the least. Uber Primal Dire Bear form?

I'm pretty happy with the dwarf shaman too. Dwarves are very often seen as very elemental creatures, with a deep connection to both earth and fire. I can see their involvement from that end.

I am more than a little weirded out by the idea of undead hunters. That's just wrong, damn.

Or all the damn mages. Like there weren't enough of them running around already. I was happy to see the Blood Elves get the warrior class. I was looking at the official Blizzard Class/Race matrix and I noticed one thing: there are three universal classes now. Warrior, Hunter, and Priest. Tank, dps, and healer for every race.

I kinda like the universal concept sort of. It kinda bugged me that every race couldn't pick up a frikken axe and start swinging it. Unlike EQ, none of the races are so conceptually weedy as to be incapable of melee like the original Erudite concept.

I'm not so onboard with priests for everyone. Some races simply do not have the sort of culture to support that sort of religion. Orcs are shamanic, tauren are more nature-based, etc. And I don't get the undead hunter at all, as it presupposes a connection to nature, and they are pretty damned intent on despoiling nature as much as possible. Now, if the lore has the same sort of nasty twists to it as BE paladins and their twisted relationship to the Light, I'll be happier.

I don't think that every race should have access to such a broad range of classes, but I am pretty happy with certain modifications to that matrix. One of the big ones is expanding access to druids. If you're horde and a druid, you will be a tauren, and an ally dr00d will be a nelf. Horde pally? Belf. Ally shaman? Spacegoat Dull. Having a couple of choices is a better thing IMO.

Did the twin valkyr last night with guild. Also, XT-deconstructer (with the cool voice) on hard. Not so much luck on iron council, but came very very close. Bloody tank deaths.

Why worgen shouldnt be shamans (stolen) - They would be humans who turn into wolves who turn into wolves that ride on wolves that summon wolves. Made me giggle ^.^

I died 3-4 times last night in an instance. This is annoying as I'm the only rezzer in the group, as well as the only healer (and tank, whee). I swear that LoH is a death sentence for me. As soon as I decide to hit it, I flatline BANG. I was tanking a good-sized pull, had my little 50% shield up, and was watching my health drop at a reasonable rate. I hit about 25% and figured I'd swat the LoH button, and *SPLAT* all my health was gone in a series of crits from regular elite mobs, as each decided now was the time to drop the hammer.

Oddly enough, viv died in that one too, and she NEVER dies. Vanish is her bestest friend, so death is not usually an issue. Damned rogues...

Must be a pain to be both tank and heals? Its recommended to have one of each, separately! And 3 rock solid dps is a plus also.
