Unlike the US, there is actually competition in the FTTP market over here. Been with Virgin 18 months, my contract was up and they wanted double what I was paying. Gave them my 30 days notice to quit and move provider and the retentions team amazingly managed to offer me the deal that's supposedly only for new customers.
