Gen 13

Rainmaker

Sarah let the kiss go on. It was what she had wanted. Desired burned inside her. But she had to pull away.

"I'm sorry Roxy, we can't do this. You're upset, you just broke up with your boyfriend and you're not thinking clearly. I don't want you to do something you'll regret." She ran a hand across Roxy's cheek. "I love you, and because I love you I can't take advantage of you."

She turned away quickly, wrapping herself in the towel and fleeing to her room. She managed to get the window open before the first tears started to come. She needed to get away. She needed to fly. She soared up into the sky.

Burnout

Bobby stared into Bliss's eyes.he could feel the heat coming from her...and from him.it was hard to ignore the rising feeling in his heart, and pants.

'I don't think this is the place for this kinda thing,Bliss." he said.

Roxy watched as Sarah opened and soon flew out the window. She, herself, stood puzzled for several moments.

After awhile, Roxy reached for another cigarette. Exhaling her first drag, she muttered under her breath, "What a fucked up day..."

Bliss

" Not the right place for what Dear? ". Bliss wraps her arms around his neck, pulling him close to her.

" You mean this? ", Bliss presses her lips against Bobby´s, her tounge darts inside his mouth, the kiss turns passionate as Bobby returns the kiss... embracing Bliss with his arms...

Grunge walked out into the yard snarling to himself. The old man had some cement he wanted removed, and Grunge needed something to hit. He walked up to the wal, swunh hard, and shattered the cement like glass, shards raining down everywhere.

"Dammit, Roxy," he snarled.

He took another swing at the walkway.

Burnout

Bobby broke the kiss and pushed Bliss away.

"No," he said."I can't do this right now."

He got up and dashed up the stairs...and walked into Roxy's room.

Bliss

" Hey.. where...? " Bliss could barely finish the phrase before Bobby went up the stairs... running to Roxy of course...

" Hes not getting away that easy... Im having fun in this house one way or another... ".

Bliss stands up and walks up the stairs silently... following Bobby...

Roxy made her way out of the shower room at a lazy pace, dragging on her cigarette as if she had a minute limit to finish. She looked up and down the hall, noting the lack of life. She looked to the stairs, waiting to hear Bobby and Bliss's voices. After hearing nothing, she assumed the two were too 'busy' to make conversation. The thought of it forced Roxy to take another deep drag.

Roxy idly wandered to her bedroom. She looked to her bed, remembering it from less than an hour ago with Grunge. She sighed, then looked to the window as she heard a loud shattering noise.

"Is Lynch finally removing that concrete he's been bitching about?" she wondered. Taking a few steps towards her open sill, she peered out to see Grunge swinging furiously at any structure he conceivably could.

She stood in silence, oblivious to the fact that Bobby had entered her room soon after her.

Burnout

Bobby just stood by the door and looked at Roxy for just a minute. He was amazed he made it away from Bliss...unfortunetly the effect of her hadn't off...and it wasn't long before he moved behind Roxy and wrapped his arms around her.

Roxy jumped at the feel of somebody touching her. Quickly she turned, her eyes meeting those of Burnout.

"Oh good... It's just you, Bobby. For a moment I was afraid."

She forced a small smile, then returned her gaze to the window. "I'm worried about Grunge... He's destroying shit again..."

Grunge stopped swinging, not because he wanted to, but because he had smashed everything there was to smash.

He turned toward the house, his fists clenched, his skin covered in sweat.

What damage could he do next?

"I...I have to go talk to him..."

Roxy pulled herself away from Bobby gently, walking to the window. Quickly she slipped her body through the sill, jumping down to land not but 20 feet away from her former boyfriend.

She stood silent for a moment, just watching Grunge and waiting for his reaction.

Breathing heavy, Grunge sees Roxy drop to the ground in front of him. He shakes momentarily with rage, then takes a deep breath, calming himself slightly. His releases his power, turning his arms back into flesh. His eyes bore into her. He didn't know whether to shake her, or talk to her.

He took another deep breath and shook his head.

"Rox..."

"Listen, Grunge... I'm sorry. But even with what's happened between us, it's not worth going through all this rage..."

Roxy forced a small smile, her eyes showing she was genuinely concerned.

"I didn't... I wasn't..." he stopped unsure of what to say. he had thought that Roxy would be in the bathroom too, and figured to teach Sarah a lesson, that it wasn't polite to ogle and tease, and not expect the same. OK, so it wasn't the best idea he'd ever had, and it had all gone horribly wrong.

"Roxy, I wasn't trying to... I didn't mean... Ah hell. I thought you were in there!"

"...I know..." she replied. "It's just... I've felt like you haven't been interested in just me alone...and it's been eating at me. I mean, the way you look at Cat..."

Roxy lowered her eyes and sighed.

OK, so he does check out Cat once in a while, but...

"Rox... I'm sorry."

And he was. He really cared for her. Even when she drove him abso-fucking-lutely nuts. He held out him arms and stepped toward her.

Roxy made no move to meet Grunge, she was unsure of how to react.

"Grunge, I... I'm just unsure where to go with this..."

Grunge felt his temper rise again, but stamped it down ruthlessly. He could only imagine how he'd react if he caught her with Bobby naked. He frowned, and ran his fingers through his unkempt hair, yanking out a nasty tangle in the process.

"Can't we just let things go back they way they were?"

"...I...I'm not so sure. I mean...I wasn't happy with how things were...and I doubt it would be any different..."

Roxy glanced back to her bedroom window, and then back to Grunge. "I feel like I'm missing out on something... Like you don't respect me."

"Don't respect you? I..."

Grunge glanced up towards Roxy's bedroom window, and saw Bobby standing there looking down at them.

"Missing out, huh? I get it. That's what this is all about, isn't it. Bobby. You want an excuse to get together with Bobby..."

He stared hard at her, trying to control his temper.

"That's not it!" Roxy jumped, she could feel her own anger beginning to rise.

"How dare you even assume such a thing! Bobby and I are friends... Breaking up with you had nothing to do with me and him!"

"Friends my ass. Do you think I'm stupid? I see how you look at him!"

He shook his head.

"And I see how he looks at you. And you have the balls to say that I have a thing for Cat! You're a hypocrite, Rox. If you can't be honest with me, be honest with yourself."

"Listen, buds," Roxy started, taking a bold step forward. "Bobby has always been there for me. He's been there to listen to me cry when some so-called boyfriend (with this she drilled her finger into Grunge's chest) left me hanging or broke my damned heart. Yeah, so I might have feelings for him, but they only came about because you ripped my heart out and made me vunerable. It was never some lustful attraction -- I never dreamed of cheating on you. You however, look at almost every girl and want to bang her!"

"But I haven't, have I?!"

He lifted her chin to force her to look in his eyes.

"You look me square in the eyes, babe, and tell me you've never so much as kissed Bobby."
