Gen 13

Roxy looked Grunge straight into his eyes and confidently opened her mouth to let him have it, when suddenly she realized she had kissed Bobby.

"I never kissed Bobby while you and I were dating," she replied coldly. "But atleast I didn't spy into his bedroom to watch him dress," she spat, remembering the time Grunge had peeked through the girls' room window at Cat.

Grunge felt his face heat when she mentioned him peeping. But he promised he wouldn't do it again, and he hadn't! Although it was hard...

"Right. Tell me. Did you kiss him five minutes after we broke up? Or did you hold out for ten because of your broken heart?"

Roxy found her hand flying before she could even think about it. It smacked hard across Grunge's cheek, leaving a bright crimson mark upon his face.

"You fucking bastard! I can't believe you!"

Roxy wasn't sure if she was really mad at Grunge or herself anymore... He was right... She was just pissed that he pointed out her fault.

Grunge's head snapped to the side with the contact. He could keep the shock off his face, even though it was hardly the first time he'd been slapped by her. He must've hit it pretty close to the mark. She had kissed him, and only minutes after they had...

He was surprised at how much it hurt to know that. He never let a woman hurt him. That was probably one reason he kept checking out the ladies. The day he truly stopped was the day he realized that Rox really had the ability to hurt him. He just hoped the pain didn't show. He forced himself to frown.

"I was right... And how would you have reacted if you just now found me kissing Sarah... or Cat?"

"After our break-up? I wouldn't have cared," she blantently lied. "I would've been happy that you moved on... Atleast you wouldn't have been out here destroying shit."

Grunge pointed a finger at Roxy.

"Remember you said that. If you expect me to wait around, while your hanging on Bobby, think again. I can't believe I actually thought that you would want me... You know what? Forget it. Go back to your new boyfriend."

He yurned away from her, and took a few steps before realizing he had nowhere to go. He'd be damned if he was going to make a fool out of himself and admit it though. He just stood in the corner of the yard with his arms crossed.

Inside, his heart was pounding. He never really thought that he had Rox would end. Sure they had their problems, but... He took a deep breath determined to not let her see how upset he was. He was pretty sure he failed though. Hopefully, she'd think it was anger.

Roxy paused for a moment, just watching as Grunge walked away from her. She was unsure how to react.. Finally, she made an attempt to get the last word into the arguement.

"I don't know how many times I have to say this to get it through your thick skull, Grunge... Bobby and I are friends. You can't blame him for stealing me when you never made a real attempt to keep the relationship together -- you just kept me around for a fuck. Just remember that it's your fault that this happened... If you could've just been happy with what you had without having to look around for something better, we'd still be together."

With that, she turned. She took a few steps, taking it rather slow, almost hoping that he would refute her attack.

He still didn't turn around to look at her. He tried, almost successfully, to keep his voice from shaking.

"You can talk all you want. You know the truth. I didn't do anything this time. If you didn't forgive me for anything else I might have done in the past, then you should have never forgiven me for doing it in the first place. You're always looking for an excuse, someone to blame everything on. Not this time. Look in the mirror."

Roxy couldn't believe it. Grunge had actually won a fight without bringing up issues from the past -- it seemed that she was the jackass of this fight. She couldn't help but feel bad, because he was right.

Slowly Roxy approached Grunge, feeling her own anger seeping away to the guilt of what she had done and the sorrow of what she had ended.

"Grunge... I'm sorry. You're right...I shouldn't try to pin this one on you..."

She couldn't believe she was admitting her wrong.

Grunge didn't know what to say. Did she say I was right?

He turned slowly toward Roxy. It took a lot for her to say that. He sighed.

"Look Roxy, we both have done some pretty stupid things." He shrugged. "Me more than you."

"I know I can be an idiot sometimes. And a child. And a... well you get the idea." He grinned sheepishly. "But I am trying, and I think I have been better. I guess you were bound to think the worst this time... so don't worry about it."

Now for the hard part. He had never acted like an adult his entire life. Before now.

"If you really think you're missing out on something, then you shouldn't be with me. Maybe you should..." He sighed again, than forced it all out in a rush. "Maybe you should be sure of what you want, before we try again."

"If that's what you want to do, I mean."

He hoped that came out right. Usually, when he tried to express himself like that, he made an ass out of himself.

Roxy couldn't believe what she had just heard. Was that Grunge...acting mature?

Roxy soon found herself against Grunge's chest, embracing him in a tight hug.

"I know what I want, Grunge... I want you. I always have. I just...I just want to make it work. I want for us to stay together, and be happy. I'll try to stop being such an over-reacting bitch, as long as you try to not look at other girls. I get jealous, Grunge... I can't lose you to another girl."

Grunge wrapped his arms around her tightly, squeezing her against his chest.

"We'l..." his voice caught, and he cleared his throat. He was NOT going to allow himself to get all emotional dammit!

"We'll both try. I... well... I don't want to lose you either, Rox. Ever."

He kissed her on the top of her head, and held her.

Roxy looked up into Grunge's eyes, her own filled with tears. "I'm just...I'm sorry I made you go through this..."

The tears crushed him. One thing he hated was seeing Roxy cry.

"It's over now." He wasn't about to tell her how hurt he'd been. Besides, he had a feeling she already knew. Why keep picking at the scab?

He brought his lips to hers, and kissed her softly.

Roxy closed her eyes, returning the kiss. For a moment she thought of how seeing this might effect Bobby, but it only took her a moment to feel better by knowing that Bobby could do much better than her.

Roxy soon lost herself in the little world of hers and Grunge's, wishing that the happiness could last forever.

Burnout

Bobby stood at the window and watched them.He couldn't believe her.here he had pushed Bliss away to be with Roxy...and she was back in Grunge's arms.

"Why are you suprised,Bobby?" he asked himself."You're the one who always gets fucked over!"

feeling the anger and hurt rise up in he he exploded...almost literally.the fire surrounded him and he shot out the window distroying it...and most of the wall.his room would be trashed...but he didn't care.he just flew through the sky.he didn't go far, just circled the mansion til he calmed down....then landed gently on the roof...where he sat by himself.

Roxy pulled back as her little world was shattered by the noise of something being broken from behind her. She quickly turned to look towards the house, seeing Bobby in his fire-state, burst through the window. He flew about for a bit, then landed on the roof. He sat down, alone, seeming to try to keep his eyes in the other direction of Roxy and Grunge.

"..."

Roxy stood in silence, slowly removing her grasp of Grunge. Without a single utterance of an explaination, she floated up the to roof to join Bobby.

She walked up behind him, kneeling down and placing her hand on his shoulder. "Bobby? Are you alright?"

She thought she knew what reply she would receive, but she felt she needed to ask.

Burnout

"Get away from me,Roxy." he said. it took everything he had in him not to yell at her.

"Besides..." he continued." i doubt Grunge likes you being up here."

"Rox?"

He watched her float upward, and descend to the roof, scratching his chin.

"Roxy?" he called out. When he didn't hear her reply, he walked toward the house.

"Grunge? Who the fuck cares if he likes it whether I'm up here or not?" Roxy paused, looking at Bobby with a worried expression. "I came up to see what's wrong, Bobby; please don't push a friend for trying to help."

Burnout

"Roxy," he said quietly." If you are my friend you'll leave now."

He looked her in the eyes and had to look away for fear of crying.

"I pushed Bliss away to be with you...and now i come here and see you don't give a damn.Just go away."

Roxy felt her heart wrench with that statement.

"You...you pushed Bliss away for me?" she asked in disbelief. She had never thought that Bobby would be able to resist Bliss, much less for some little brat like herself.

Roxy sat next to Bobby, looking over at him silently for a few moments. "...I'm sorry Bobby. I do care about you, I really do... But I care about Grunge, too. I just... I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know if things with Grunge are really as good as they seem to me when we're having a decent time, or if the relationship is shit."

She sat silently for another moment, lighting a cigarette.

Burnout

Bobby looked over at her and all his anger went away.He reached out and pushed a lock of hair from Roxy's eyes and tucked it away behind her ear.

He tried to speak, but couldn't.without thinking he leaned over...and kissed her.

Roxy held her cigarette aside as Bobby touched his lips to hers. The first thing that crossed her mind...

"What would Grunge think? He and I just make up... And I'm kissing Bobby again!"

But Roxy couldn't push Bobby away... She was so confused...
