Are we doing a warm up this week?
Yes. Thanks for the reminder to the senile old coot.

Lewis Grizzard is (was) fantastic, both in his writing and his personal appearances. I miss him.
I can swim, but can I still get floaties?ShyGuy, where arrrrrre youuuuuuu?
Pool's open to anyone who wants to play, ya know. No charge! No trash talk! (Well, maybe just a little when the Bucs beat someone else's favorite team)
Come one, come all, come on in, the water (in the pool) is fine! Floaties available for non-swimmers!
Shhhhhhhhh! Don't scare away the new prospects! No trash talk?
Damn, did you make a mistake letting me join...
You're just hoping they're hidden in the swim top of one of the ladies, you dirty young man, you! Shame, shame!I can swim, but can I still get floaties?

They're just for funsies, just to get us warmed up and maybe a little more familiar with at least some of the teams...I'm right here! I don't really get into the pre season games to be honest!
A NYC sports bar ought to be fun, as long as the Titans aren't playing the Giants or Jets... if they are, you might get your butt kicked if you cheer too loudly for Tennessee...And for the first two weekends in the season, I'll be state side! I do hope to go to a sports bar in NYC Thursday sep 10th to watch the first game of the season, since my Titans are opening the season!![]()
Do try to get Weeks 1 and 2 posted before you go, and don't worry about getting them in any particular order or anything; I'll rearrange them for you if necessary. First two weeks (at least), Monday Night Football will be the tiebreaker. After the first few weeks, if MNF looks likely to be a blowout, I might change the tiebreaker game to one that's more likely to have some suspense to it. (If no one objects too strenuously to that concept. I think I forgot to mention that earlier.)I try to post my picks before I leave for the States, otherwise I'll just join in when I'm back home.
But .... why aren't you in the pool?????????Oh Christ, Favre is back.
Y'know, even though he used to shred the Niners, I could admire a guy who played with fearless abandon and loved the game.
But this drama crap of the past freaking four or five years now is just... ugh.
