Getting to Know You!

My favorite concert EVER was the Santana concert on the pier in NY, back in I think '84.

I just started Doctor Who a couple of years ago. I watched the first two and a half Matt Smith seasons on Amazon Prime (that's all that was free at the time). I then went to the first season of the modern series with Chris Eccleston and watched through the David Tennant seasons. Finished up watching the rest of the Matt Smith episodes and the 50th anniversary special. I've watched the Peter Capaldi seasons as they've aired. I've watched a few of the classic episodes too. I guess I'm hooked.

Nice! My very first concert was Edgar Winter. My mom took me to this one to make up for not letting me go to Lollapalooza '92. So it was "I'm sorry I wouldn't let you go to that awesome concert that has all your favorite bands. How about I take you to see this older guy you've never heard of?" My mom meant well, of course, and it actually turned out to be a damn fun show.

That's actually a sweet story!!!! :)

I am still new to LIt but I already enjoy a lot of the threads and people here. I enjoy flirting on the boards and the PM's. I tend to be an exhibitionist and need no coaxing in that department. I hope I get to know you all better.

I love the look of surprise on people's faces when I tell them that I have a degree in computer animation.

Me too and I live here!!!

It's different if you live in the area. The excitement and anticipation of the trip, is lost due to the novelty being worn off.

I feel the same way with regards to New Orleans. I don't see why anyone would ever want to go to the French Quarter.
All of the interesting places IMHO are located outside of the city.

May I suggest that you visit when the Jazz Fest is going on.:D If you can't find your musical taste at that time, then it doesn't exist..LOL
