Doubtful. She spelled and used the phrase "ad nauseum" correctly and apart from the rediculous shorthand spelling and a few grammar flubs, the English is good. I saw a personal ad written like this a few weeks ago on another site, though why anyone would think stupid writing like that would do anything but repel people is beyond me.

I stand corrected.

Looking at how my kids IM, I suspect the poster comes from that school and tried to clean up for us old fogies.

LOL - This style of typing is what I like to refer to as "kidspeak." I play a couple of online video games, and you can always tell when you're dealing with someone under the age of 18 or so when the abbreviations start flying. It drives me up a wall - I've got a degree in English, and it kills me to see the language butchered because kids are too lazy to type out their words.

I always, ALWAYS use correct spelling and English when I type. Even if it is easier to type 'U' than 'you.' Absolutely drives me up a wall too when people type like that. I find I even have a hard time comprehending what they are trying to get across to me.

By the way, Lynxie, what games you play? I play one myself. :)

my spelling, etc.

i didn't know you were so anal (no pun intended) on spelling and the like, and for that matter, downright RUDE about it. my vocabulary is quite extensive, probably broader than most of yours, i'll have you know, and i'm hardly under 18. i just happen to like writing that way. there is a way of letting someone know without being rude, and i'd appreciate that from all of you. not much room for creativity here, i suspect. you people (a phrase i hate but must use here) are brutal. hopefully you will be more kind or at least intelligent in future posts. i will not insult you in kind, no point in stooping to that (again, no pun intended). let's try this again, shall we?

then again, why waste time?

i'm sorry, i overestimated this group, after reading more of this garbage you spewed all over this page in response to an honest post to basically crucify me, a new person... and the joy you all took in it... and the fact that you didn't bother to help, shows me that you're only here to make yourselves feel superior. good luck in that. i pity that you don't have enough self-esteem to look past one's differences and just offer assistance. even if the writing was annoying to you, i can understand if i were informed politely or even addressed as a human being. i wish they had a "smilie" to flip you all off, so i can send out something you could "comprehend".

It's fine you like to write that way, but do you see how it's hard to take you seriously and assume you're an adult? It's like the difference between casual and work attire. If you go into a job interview in jeans and a ratty t-shirt, the employer will likely think you don't care about the job and won't be very reliable. When I see someone writing in shorthand, I assume they're either a kid, an idiot, or don't care enough for me to spend time answering...they're not making an effort to help me understand, so why should I?

So when you're writing to friends or something like that, casual shorthand might be fine. However, when you have a large audience and expect people to take you seriously, understand, and respond, you should use proper English.

justification

i was looking at this as a creative outlet, thought i could just hang free and be me. i never looked at it as a professional thing or it wouldn't have happened that way. and judging by the responses i got, it's NOT a professional forum. but i do appreciate constructive criticism, when i'm addressed as an adult. regardless of my previous writing style, i deserved that minor courtesy at the very least.

I jumped on your posting style too quickly, and I apologize.

I will say, however, that we get dozens of insincere posts each week written in a very similar manner from people whose only purpose is to amuse themselves by evoking a serious response from the How To community. Just as you had no idea that this was so, we had no way of knowing such was not the case with you - particularly after reading your profile which is written in the same manner. As I viewed your post after reading your profile, I concuded that the odds of it being from a person sincerely looking for help were close to zero.

Not that this is any excuse for rude treatment, but I hope it will help you understand where some of us were coming from.

I'm perplexed by your wording. Are you "just under" 18 or is this sarcasm that you are certainly over 18?

Yeah, Well you got off easy.

In the early days of LIT. almost everyone here were authors and writers, quite a few teachers, lawyers ect.

You would have really caught hell then.

Now you know.

Stay around awhile and you will understand.

If a person comes off trying to fool us they will catch hell.

Now that paisley has been suitable chastised and knows to speak in literate, complete sentences in the future....I can't say that I can relate to your problem of not liking the smell of other women...but I do suggest that you read the blank manual...I know there is some other threads on there that deal with pussy odor and taste....other than that I would take baby steps I guess. Instead of just going down on her, finger her then smell or taste your fingers....

Ut Oh! Shame on me!

I fed a troll, and now I'm doing it again!
I apologize for labeling you a troll. The low post count, posting several new threads at the same time, and of course, the writing style, fit the profile.

We all know why profiling is bad, and I've just proved it again.

I turst you won't get pissed off at the entire community. I welcome you and encourage you to stay around!
