Okay, I'm not sure where this is going and I don't blame anyone if they don't answer! (Just in a weird mood)

Normally I have very curly hair that falls to somewhere around my shoulderblades. (Think the girl in my AV) Periodically, my hairdresser, after trimming it, will offer to straighten my hair. She uses an iron. As soon as I wash my hair, those dang curls come back. ARGH!

Well, last week I bought my very own straightening iron and I am totally hooked! Yeah, it takes me over an hour to blow dry and straighten my hair (it's very thick as well), but damn the results are heaven to me! For this short period I can have hair that feels silky to the touch, that I can run my fingers through without tangles/snarls, and - best of all - I can go to sleep and just brush it the next morning. How wonderful is all that?!?!

The downside is that straightening my hair is a not so good thing for it. Can really damage the ends as well as the hair shafts. SO....it's something I can only do maybe once or twice a month.

To turn this over to any other willing victims....are you satisfied with all there is about you? Would you change something, and if so, what and why? And, to keep in tone with the board, how?

Generally, I love my hair. Most would say it's one of my best features. But having long, straight, silky hair gives me the feeling of almost being some one else for a short period of time!

I dated a girl that bought a ceramic ion flat iron. Evidently, the one she got wasn't supposed to be too bad for your hair. Her hair wasn't all that curly but did have 'waves' to it that she didn't like.

Glad it works great for you... now you'll have to get a 'straight-haired' AV for those times of the month your hair is straight ;)

There are things I would change about me. One that stands out is, what I see as, my nose. I can see a slight shift about halfway down the bridge of it. The result of taking a hockey stick across the face. It broke and I never had it reset by a doctor. People I talk to swear they can't tell until I point it out to them but everytime I look at myself in the mirror it stands out to me like a sore thumb. So, it may not even be noticable unless you're looking for it. Unfortunately, I can't not look for it.

Of course, the 'how' to changing it is far worse so I know I never will. From my understanding, it would have to be re-broken and set, but that might actually make things worse. So, I'll live with it.

Park~

I have relatively straight hair. I mean, it naturally curls in at the ends, and it's in layers that, I just discovered, are halfway down my back. (My hair is up 90% of the time, and I didn't know until yesterday how much it had grown). So, would I change it? Yes. I'm naturally blonde. I dye it a deep red. It's straight, and SOMETIMES, but not often, I want it curly. So what I do then is French braid it the day before, and then just take the braids out the day of. Throw in some gel, and it's all good. I'd love to change my weight, and I'm working on that. Though the people at my office aren't helping! Every single day, there's a new treat, a new box of chocolates or donuts, or someone's giving a plate of goodies. Mostly, anything given to me goes home to the Man, but sometimes it's so tempting! *grumble* I swear, they're trying to make all the reception girls fat. I'd also really like to get back to the level of fitness that I had once. I'm working on that, too.

That isn't to say that I don't LIKE how I look. I do. I just sometimes wish I could have a bit of a change.

I wish I had bigger breasts. :-(
It was a HUGE complex, now it's a bit less as my b/f tells me it doesn't matter to him - but it's still there. I know he'd like me much more if just...etc. It's the only huge complex I have about myself.

Do you KNOW your boyfriend enjoys larger breasts?? There are plenty of us that enjoy smaller breasts. Maybe your bringing an old complex into the situation.

Either way, he's your boyfriend... so he's must like you enough just the way you are.

Gawd I love long hair. Its not a fetish or anything, but my first wife would never let me touch her hair, she always complained that I was petting her like a dog. Now days I often drift off to sleep stroking my wife's hair, I love the feel of it, how it smells, how it can tickle and make my skin crawl when it touches a place like my back. Hell, I even love to brush her hair.

Heres a little embarassing secret of mine. My wife has to put her hair up if she's giving me a blowjob. If it isn't up, when she's done, the touch of her hair instantly turns from sensual to ticklish and I end up with a fit of the giggles. Strange how when I am horny I am not ticklish, but once I'm out of the mood I am.

I believe a woman's hair can be extraordinarily sexy, how it frames her face, how it feels, how it smells, how it can be used to "hide" her features or if its long enough, even hide other parts as well. Hair color makes little difference to me, although I am partial to brunettes.

Of the things I would change about myself if I could, there are too many to mention. I do know I wouldn't change how I feel about my wife's hair! :D

You can give yourself a perm to straighten the hair. Just don't use rollers. You put the perm solution in and comb your hair straight and follow the directions on the box accordingly. Like timing and rinsing etc.

I've tried this and it does work...the curl does start coming back eventually, but it should cut down a bit on your styling time in the morning.

see it's like my Nana always said, if you have straighht hair you'd kill for a tumble of curls and if you're a curly top all you want is long silky straight hair.

I had really long fine hair for years that had this little bit of natural wave to it. It used to drive me nuts because it was never curly enough to wear down and it was to fine to hold any kind of curl or style. It would just hang there. My husband would always complain that it got in his face when we slept. I always wore it up since it took took forever to wash, dry and style and so one day I just walked in and told my hairdresser to chop it all off! I went from hair down to my bra strap to right on my neckline. I loved it! Still have it styled that way too, but just recently my husband was playing with my hair and confessed that he misses have all that long hair to play with. I think men in general prefer long hair on women but alot of the women I know who went from long to short say they felt so much more liberated after they whacked it off.

I have long (middle of my back) very dark hair, although nowadays a few threads of gray are showing up. That doesn't bother me, but I do wish my body hair was a little lighter. When my legs need to be shaved, they need to be shaved RIGHT NOW, otherwise it's very obvious.

Oh--and I'd get rid of some of my eyebrows. They're very thick and I hate tweezing them. One of my sisters actually had most of hers electrolysized (sp??) off. No thanks. I tried electrolysis once and it hurt, there were scars, and the damn hair came back.

The things we do in the name of vanity.

When I was younger, I had stick straight hair. Now, as I'm getting older, it is becoming wavier and wavier. It's past my bra strap, wavy and just does whatever the heck it wants to do. Worst part is, I can't blame it on the humidity. I dont' care if it's straight or curly, just wish it would decide...

The main major thing I'd change by surgery is my boobs are saggy, but that happes when you have three kids in three years and nurse all of them. Guess I earned the sagging, dammit.

And while I'm at it, I want Lasik too, I think.

I have hair women want. Sadly not on me, on themselves. Hence its been clipped for the past 10 years or so.

I havent cut it for a few months and Imust admit I'm toying with the idea of keeping it, but I digress...

see it's like my Nana always said, if you have straighht hair you'd kill for a tumble of curls and if you're a curly top all you want is long silky straight hair

Very true. Bonus points for the use of Nana, she wasnt welsh was she?

SexyChele, cholesterol for your hair when you wash it would do a lot to help restore the hair strands.. I use it on mine because it's naturally dry, and chemically treated, and it's made an amazing change. Go sparingly on it though.. little goes a long way. ;)

I think I'd want lasik if I could change something.. and I wish my hair wasn't... ugh. I'm biracial, and I got the worst end of the hair, genetically. It's tightly curled, and I have to use strong chemical treatments to make it straight so I can deal with it.

I could definitely do without the chemicals every few months.

I've always had very thick, mostly straight, flat brown hair. I love it enough as it is but have often wished it was curly like your AV Chele. I have tried home perms and such but have never taken the plunge to get it done all pro-fess-ion-al-like :D

Last summer I hacked it all off in a fit of boredom, I promised myself when it grows back to 'normal' length (below my shoulders) I'm going to get it permed for the first time and maybe dye it a nice red-blonde colour... Can't wait!!

The biggest thing I'd change about myself would be weight. I have that bit of extra "me" under my bra band?? Once it goes away (too bad it can't go all by itself! ) I am thinking of getting a tattoo- kind of like a reward system?? I'm still unsure about it, but it keeps me motivated!
Syb. :)

A lot of women would love to have hair like yours.

Matter of fact there are a lot that would want mine and i wish i had more on top mine is long past my shoulders and lots of body.

I kept my hair very very short since high school. Its very thick and was always stick straight. When I met my lover 4 years ago (he's totally bald) he said something to the effect of "well ONE of us should have some hair" So I started letting it grow. I love it - he loves it - and the weirdest thing is - now its curly! More like wavey actually. I'm having so much fun with it! It falls right to my nipples - something that drives him absolutely wild! hehehe

Please note my avatar, not to mention my thread about hair pulling. :D

I absolutely love my long, straight hair. It's not to straight that it just lies there, either. It has enough wave to it that when I have it cut in layers, which I do now, there are a lot of waves and texture to it. If I want, I can blow it dry straight and have a different look.

I don't put my hair up very often anymore. The way I see it, why waste the look of the long tresses?

Five years ago I used to have naturally straight naturally blonde just not quite shoulder length hair. Then I met a bloke who happened to tell me that he liked big boobs (not a problem for me, more than a mouthful for him) and long blonde hair. So I thought ok I easily satisfy him on the boobs bit and decided to grow my hair. Since then I only have it cut every 12 weeks and it is now past the middle of my back and still blonde. He loves it and I love it. When I tell him I am going to have it cut he says only this much showing me about 3mm to have taken off. I keep threatening to have it cut short but never do and why because I love him running his hands through it I find it so relaxing.

i went from having extremely long hair (down to the backs of my knees), to having extremely short hair.

and i have been everything inbetween.

but i like my hair short, it's funky and i can change the colour daily if i want, without worrying about damage!

and if the SO wants long hair?
i tell him to get me a wig

I've always preferred short hair on women. I find that running my fingers through short hair is more exciting, i love the way it can frame a face and the dozens of styles that can be done with it. As long as there is hair there, I don't think it can be too short. I think of long hair as anything that hits the shoulders...

I don't know if responses are supposed to be entirely hair related. But, I have no hair issues.

The things that I would want to change can't be changed, well not practically in any event.

I'd like to have slightly smaller feet, maybe a size 12. I'd certainly like to have a larger penis, that would be impressive even in its flaccid state.

Yes, I know he enjoys larger breasts. Well, as a matter of fact he likes all women, so it doesn't mean he dislikes smaller. He loves me, so he likes me just the way I am, and the complexes are smaller. Yet he's definetly not one of the guys who have a special thing for small breasts, so some of them stay. Pamela Anderson scores high for him, for instance, so he's the normal kind of guy.

As for hair: Straight, almost down to my waist, in a red/brown/golden colour which changes in light. My hair is my pride.

Though, it is a bit boring by now, I've had the same hairdo for years and years. How to change it slightly without removing the beloved lenght? (yes, I know it's just about impossible)

On my Dads side yes, but not the Nana I was reffering to here. I've just always called them both Nana by habit.

I have baby fine almost shoulder length, straight hair but I have to blow dry it. I had a perm and am waiting to get more curls cut off the ends. I hate having fine hair, it's difficult to do anything with it in regards to style.

Thank you all for your answers/contributions! It's always interesting to know and find out more about people on here. Oh, and for the record, I'm back to curly today. Have to admit that after the entire weekend being "straight" it is a nice change.

And I, too, think more men like longer hair on women. I know of a couple of men who prefer shorter styles, which I think is cool. I know that whenever I get my hair trimmed, my S/O always accuses me and my hairdresser of a "conspiracy" to keep cutting my hair shorter and shorter. In reality, she only cuts off a max of 1"! And I made the mistake of telling him until a couple of years ago my hair was below my waist. You got it: now he sort of kind of wants me to grow it that long!

Ah, men! What would us straight gals do without them!!

I have long hair (about middle of the back) that is naturally wavy. But it is also VERY thick so the longer and heavier it gets the less it "waves."

I've been growing my hair back out for about the last year. When I was a kid my sisters used to only bitch that they wished they had hair like me...all that great hair on a boy!

I LOVE long hair on a woman!!! Not to say short hair cannot be attractive and very sexy but oh that long hair gets me every time. You know a lot of us fellas fear that our ladies will whack off all the deliciousness after they marry us. Fortunately my wife keeps all her wonderful dark curls hanging!

Oh and in keeping with the theme of the thread and Chele's question: What would I change? I would have no hair on my balls! Sometimes I just feel like shaving. You know? :)
