I will not judge them based on some outdated scripture - which, lets face it is the biggest cause of war in history. No religious publications (and by that I mean translated scripture) means no wars.

Religion is within and a choice we all make...either way. Believers or non-believers are all human beings.

If you want to get your message out, don't broadcast it. Preaching to the masses very rarely works. Talking to individuals, and more importantly listening to their views and beliefs, without rejecting them out of hand, will almost certainly have a greater effect on people.

Ok I said I wanted to respond to this one since it seems to have some genuine thought behind it.

(puts on theology hat) I know what I'm talking about AND I'm not a psycho troll! Huzzah!

In order for sin to be atoned for, something had to die. This was the rule set into place way back in the beginning of the Bible. Sin = death. Adam and Eve sinned, and the punishment was that they would no longer live forever: death, pain, and sin all entered the world through Satan convincing them to sin.

check. But certainly from this point on a precedent is set that not all sins are equal, but to be judged based on the consequences flowing from them. Thats good news! For here it means that Satan's sin was the worst. And so his punishment is the worst. But it was also Satan's plan to defile God's creation by introducing them to sin as well!!

So the rules put in place are all laid out in the Old Testament. If people sinned, they had to sacrifice an adorable animal. This is a theme echoed throughout the Bible. In Egypt, the people who didn't sacrifice an animal and put the blood on their doorposts had their first born son killed by the angel of death on the night that became Passover night. If they had the blood from the killed animal on their doorposts, the angel of death would pass over them.

This was god's chosen method at the time of determining the ones who mocked his law! Note, individual Egyptians were given a choice by this way.

So the people leave Egypt. This is the theme set into place: the death of something perfect atones for sin and you will be passed over.

Time passes. Lots of time. More foreshadowing about Jesus is scattered throughout the Old Testament, but the Egypt captivity is the main big one that comes into play as symbolism and foreshadowing.

A regular old guy couldn't die for the sins of everyone. It had to be God, and it had to be someone who was human for EVERYONE. So, following the trend: the "first born son", the Son of God, God Incarnate in human form... has to be perfect, so that all the sin can be laid on him and therefore, killing him banishes sin. There's this whole balance deal: sin cannot exist in God's perfection, and so it has to be destroyed and can only be destroyed through the blood of something perfect. Now, through the blood of God's son being sacrificed, God can see us through these blood colored glasses. Blood atones for sin. Blood covers sin. Blood covers up the imperfections that would render us inable to exist in God's presence.

Imagine that God is one bigass light, and sin is shadows. Shadows can't exist in a light, and so if we're sinners we're in the shadows, so we get VANIQUISHED BY THE LIGHT. Blood is like a big sin eraser.

hmmm..... The point about Jesus is that he lit the way to heaven by example. Satan having defiled man required that Man would create the ultimate sin in attacking God's creation and damning themselves. Such was Satan's delight. God allowed his son to be betrayed and sinned against however, the son still forgave the sinners! ANd here in is the true message and way to heaven. That Gods perfect son was betrayed by us and he still forgave us now sets up the next era wherein we can choose not to sin, not to fall into Satan's trap, through the power of choosing forgiveness!!

So that's why God couldn't just say "well, I forgive ya". He did just say "well, I forgive ya"... by building a bridge from here to there... something that was human enough to be here in our sinful world, and something that was God and perfect enough to be there in heaven. Blood was the bridge.

Now it's up to us to choose to say "God, I hear you saying you forgave me! Thanks! I accept!"

Leviticus 18:6 reads: "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female. It is an abomination." Well you couldn't be much clearer than that! However by choosing to follow Christs example and forgive each other for sins, we can find the way to heaven. The end of God's plan is that at the end of times, Christ returns and judges each of us. We then sent to our proper rewards accordingly. Its a judgement a weighing of sin. For the greatest sinners, the worst punishments await. Does not Judas reside in the devil's mouth?

According to your vision, we, mankind have no responsibility because we're all sinners, and all sin is equal according to you. So even if you've made the tiniest mistake or the greatest blasphemy, it doesn't matter! So therefore we can do anything we want. What stops you from killing people who stand in your career path, or taking the wife of another whom you lust after? According to your definition, its all forgiven for sin is all equal! That leads to the idea that we can determine the level of sin we're comfortable with. If you think its justified to commit the sin of murder in a certain case, then go ahead and do it! No, thats not right! Quite apart from the Bible this just can't be right!
