The judges will merely need to say which of the two participants better responded to the challenge with the better poem.
Can we jot down Anna and Bijou as judges? That would mean we would only need one more.

It only takes knowing the rules of the challenge and being able to determine if the poets meet the challenge presented or not. YOU'RE IN!
I would also like to STRONGLY ENCOURAGE AND INVITE Under Your Spell to be the third judge. She has been with this thread from the beginning. I know your worries UYS, but there is no better time or better way to learn about poetry than to objectively and fairly assess the under-pressure work of others.
(PS, Lauren will be available to help you during the challenge if you feel confused or conflicted). What do you say, Under Your Spell? Up for a new challenge yourself?

May I suggest that Tzed and I submit our poems to say - CharleyH's, PM box so that she can post them anonymously? That way the baggage that accompanies our account names is left with our avatars and the judges can then judge the poems with the neutrality blessed by anon rather than with the bias of identification . Plus it adds to the suspense.

Oooohhhhh your tinker you (now you probably don't know what that means lol!) I am going away in 16 days time and will be gone for 14 days or I would have been tempted as I adore both combatants too and am eager to see what they come up with. So afraid I best bow out of this one

This will all happen within the next couple of days, I suspect (gunfights are not known to be slow, as such) so you're safe there. You could still do this.
I think tt2u (HI! Where ya been? How are you?) would also make an excellent judge. Maybe we should have five judges, just to be entirely safe. Or I can bow out, given that I'm unfairly biased toward both contestants...

Close. I probably won't be in early enough for the beginning of the challenge; I don't get on line generally until noonish, PST. 3 pm EST. But since I'm not writing, just judging, I suspect that's alright. I'll be here the rest of the day, and well into evening.

No Worries. We can wait 24 hours for judges. The only thing that matters is whether Champagne and Tzara are cool with the time of the challenge.

Please note that 12:00 PM MDT is 11:00 AM PDT, and 2:00 PM EDT. The Pacific time zone (where I am) is normally GMT -8, but I think right now is GMT -7 because of Daylight Savings Time.
Anyway, Tuesday should be OK. I'm clear at that time right now, anyway.
So I guess I need to make sure I know the start time. Are the times above intended to be Daylight Savings Time (which is what we're currently using)? Also, how long a window do I need to reserve? One hour? Two? I'd probably have problems with much more than that.

I don't think a soft Bijou works especially to my advantage. She usually shows more spirit than that.
