Raising three children, taking care of two aging parents, and trying to have a sex life is a tough juggling act. Well, I can't remember ever waking up from an erotic dream and found myself masturbating... although I have woken up from such dreams making small humping motions.

Keep in mind that when a person is asleep in that stage of sleep they have a chemical active that reduces movement. That's why when someone has "sleep terrors" they feel like they cannot move... because they can't! Hope your story turned out ok Rydia. As far as your initial questions... and after reading some of the other poster's responses I thought I would add my own.

First I just want to state that while we may have similar biology, every one is "wired" a bit differently. I think the old saying of "the brain being the most sexual organ of the body" is especially true.

One of the posters claims that wet dreams only happen when the balls are full. I cannot attest for others only myself and I have had intercourse or have masturbated the day before or even the evening before having a wet dream.

Others have also stated that a wet dream is only a wet dream if you actually have an orgasm during the dream. I suppose that is one way of putting it but I have had several dreams where I wake up and there is quite a puddle but both in the dream and physiologically I have not came yet. The wetness would be due to the pre-cum leaking out.

As to the question of doing anything about the dream I almost always masturbate after having one, unless I wake from one and am already running late for work or late for something where time does not allow it.

I think it also must be stated that not every man has one orgasm and is done. I can only attest for myself but I know that other men have had similar situations as well. I have on average of 2 to 3 orgasms per "session" of masturbation or sexual activity.
