I would like to try
writing stories in nothing
but silly haikus

then as I sit here
racking my brain for ideas
I'm coming up short

it seems to me, that
poetry might not be, the
medium for me

but I shan't give up
because one day I'll succeed
in this endeavor

maybe not today,
or not even tomorrow.
