Dianna and Laura took Xavier's comment without flinching. The two of them were used to it and, having produced a majority of the weapons used during the later half of the war, they had long since accepted any hatred towards them as an acceptable form of karma. Still, Dianna and Laura's good mood seemed to fade away subtly.
Laura hopped down on to the ground and just half-heartedly smiled at Celesta.
"It's all right dear, no need to apologize for something you didn't say." She held Diana's hand, "We overstepped our bounds. Just focus on your honeymoon." Her smile became genuine, "Knowing that you two are happy is worth more than anything else for us."
Hal gave his mother and sister a kiss and hug and readied to join Celesta in the carriage when a puff of smoke went off in front of him and small tiefling child hugged him around the front and nuzzled her head against his chest.
"Uncle Hal, don't go!" The little Tiefling cried out. She had a greennish skin and smaller horns, and a thinner tail than other Tieflings, suggesting that she was actually a mixed child. She wore a cute little blue dress made of lace with a ribbon around her midsection.
Hal was stunned but hugged the girl back. "Sasha, I thought you weren't coming today? Is your father here?"
"He had to take care of something so I told him to drop me off with mom." She explained, nuzzling her head into Hal's chest. "Please Uncle Hal, don't go."
Hal ruffled her long green hair and kissed her forehead. "It's okay. I'll be back, we'll probably even be visiting you after long."
Sasha shook her head, making her earrings jangle, "I don't want you to go with her." She gasped as Dianna, her mother, scooped her up, flustered.
"Oh look at the time, me and mom have a lunch meeting with some clients, looks like I'll have to make sure they have an extra seat for Sasha and then get a robe to strangle that husband of mine with, you two have fun." She rolled away quickly, not wanting her daughter to say what she knew she would say. Laura sighed and waved goodbye. As the three of them walked away, Sasha looked up at Celesta and then immeadiately buried her face in her mother's chest, shaking like a leaf.
Hal sighed and got in the carriage, telling the driver to go.
"I'm sorry Celesta, Sasha is just...nervous around elves."
