Quickly, Celesta followed her to see her gone, the room empty besides her and her sleeping husband. She looking around slowly, making sure they were really a before looking at him.

"Hal?"

Hal slept peacefully through Jessie and Celesta's conversation though he began to twitch towards the end of it, as though he was aware that Celesta was upset. When his wife called to him, Hal slowly opened his eyes and turned to face her.

"Celesta," Hal beamed, "Is there something you need?" He tenderly pulled her back on to the bed and wrapped his arms around her, "It's still night time my lovely wife. Did you have a bad dream?"

Hal kissed her cheek and was about to inspect the marks he had left when his nostrils flared and he smelled something off. Sniffing again, his muscles tensed and his etes searched frantically around the room.

"Celesta, was someone here?"
