Have You Done Your Part?

Re: Destroy America! One Family at a Time!

It occurs to me that I must get busy now!

I have not been doing my fair share of destroying the American family. My goodness! I haven't destroyed one at all yet! If the Radical Right is right (pun intended) I should have destroyed at least 1,732 families by now!!!

Alright, all you gay, bi, lesbian and transgendered people...GET BUSY destroying those families and the American Way of Life!!
I've been doing that all my life! :D

YEAH! Let's all have sex more often and break up marriages with people who don't want to be married! Heterosexuals NEVER do THAT!

Seriously, I have done my share...influenced a woman to divorce her husband (by SEX, not by words, thank you very much), and I happen to fall for straight women all the time. Why is that? Is it a challenge, or WHAT?

How come people are more worried about us breaking up marriages(and apparently destroying the future of mankind:)) than actual criminals???I mean...helloooo!The world is full of criminals why focus on innocent people?:p
From now on I'll only seduce straight boys to become gay!>:)
That's MY way of destroying future families!:)

I did my part and the results were amazing, within 7 minutes of S and I saying "I do," I heard the fabric of American Family tear ever so slightly.

We (sarah and I) were the primary reason the Virginia House and Senate passing the constitutional amendment against Gay Marriage. I am sure of it.

I have them on the run.... I am sure of it...

if they think glbt people are so dangerous, why not prove em right?
we should rise up, and take down the government
after it's over, we rebuild, and only people who are glbt should be aloud to hold office in the new order!

on a more serious note, it would be better if more glbt people were in the government, or at least more people who actually knew and understood them
i think progress will happen faster if we can get more glbt people, and their supporters, into places with political power

Believe it or not, I'm a government employee. There are lots of us, but most are unwilling to come out of the closet. I've been out for years...everyone treats me just fine. If more glbt people understood that coming out is NOT the end of the world, it would be a better place for us all.

Do you mean the part about no partnerships of any kind (including corporations) being allowed to confer the rights of marriage?

I hate that I live in such a homophobic state. The weird thing is, the area I'm in - northern Virginia, near DC - isn't homophobic. We voted blue, we're liberal, etc. It's those fuckers in the rest of the state that I blame....

The blue side isn't doing any favors in Virginia either:

I am one of the fuckers in the rest of the state. I like a lot about this commonwealth, but our current ultra-ultra-right conservative legislature has got to go and be replaced with something a little closer to the middle.

I really don't know who asked our wonderful politicians to push for this amendment. I know exactly zero people who want a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage. We already were discriminated against enough in Virginia without being constitutionally singled out for a loss of liberty.

We will have to work hard in 2006 to keep this from passing on the General ballot.

The reality is that most state legislatures are ruled by rural interests. Tennessee is the same. Even if the delegations from the 4 largest cities could come together on one issue (which they can't) they still couldn't out vote the rest of the legislature. We're facing the same fight down here.

Yoinks. I hadn't seen that link before. That bit about Camp White Tail is interesting.

That is the best site I have found for tracking our delegates without any bias in the writeups. Just the issues and the voting records.

Holy crap, was looking at that site for Virgina. Hey, let's not only make same-sex marriage and civil unions illegal, but, let's make a license plate to throw it in the gay's faces that they can't get married???? What kind of bullshit is that? Granted a lot of the things in that document had me more than a little uncomfortable (it pisses me off that we're writing discrimination in to law) but, WTF, now we have to flaunt it too?

BTW, I'm also a very very low level government employee, and I would never dream of coming out at work. Granted, a lot of my co-workers don't care for the current administration any more than I do, but, from what I've seen and heard, they also are a large bunch of homophobes, and I'd be driven out of the office very very quickly.

I've said for years that the only way anything is going to get done in this country is if we put an old, gay, black woman with AIDS in the Oval Office!

A friend of mine (sweet old het guy, loaned me an $800 kayak for as long as I want it) saw the bit about the license plate and said that we should all get them and paint NON in front of the word traditional! When I see the plate design I will definitely evaluate it for possible defacing.
