Have you ever been drawn...

I was suckered in by a thread on here once that had two posters soliciting for pictures to be submitted and painted/drawn...whatever their medium was.

Yeah.

Would you want to be (drawn)?
If so —why?
I believe I would.
I'd be interested in seeing who ran out of paper first....

Hm...i think it would be exciting, and perhaps a bit scary, to see how many different artistic interpretations would result.

How many would start true to form?
How many would embellish?
Would my form just be the base for an impressionist scene?
Would it take on a more Cubist air?
Will I love it?
Will I hate it?

So many things to consider...

Yeah.

That is often a ploy by "artists"...scam artists.

I prefer to draw from life. I suppose we all use whatever "tools" we have to "woo"...weasel. LOL

That is interesting. I like that your idea perpetuates the myth that I like to perpetuate (for selfish reasons) — that a drawing is somehow a form of honoring or idolizing the subject (heh heh, like sculpture would be putting the subject "up on a pedestal")

Well, I don't know if it's so much honoring or idolizing. I just know what looks good. :)

Yes there is that potential for tension.
Less surprise if you know the artist's work.

Modelling for a class, one gets many, simultaneous, interpretations. Though less likely to be highly charged or "erotic" necessarily.

The subjects you had in mind apparently "look good" (in photographs).
I find that not every drawn interpretation holds up to the original.

That requires some real mastery.

Funny I still remember who they are, I even gave them the benefit of the doubt since they were well known posters. I was genuinely interested in how they each interpreted the picture since I sent them both the same one.

My mom used to draw, paint and do clay modeling of me. I never had to sit still though, it was as she saw me in her mind.

i think...in the end.. it would be a venture well worth taking.

Private sittings definitely have more potential for erotically charged situations

I hear what you're saying, although I would have to say I'm pretty sure the pics I'm thinking of would turn out well if drawn.

soooo... no drawings or paintings were ever produced?

I would think that a mom would have a clearer picture in their mind.
Or.... a "rose colored" view...hmmm?

Oh I know plenty of folk who can butcher perfectly beautiful reference.:D

true.

On the other hand, the mind can do wonderful things...
I am thinking of my story ^ which took place in a group setting. :D

From the Litsters? No. One was like oh, he couldn't do color...okay here it is in black and white, then he thought my short satiny robe was too shiny, then he was moving. The other said I can't remember what else but that she was too busy. I'm like WTF...why create a thread? I messaged back and forth a couple times with both of them before I realized I was getting the run around. Meh, no matter...I've since put the picture up as an Av, so it wasn't even so much as revealing oneself...just live and learn.

I thought my mom did a pretty job in how I also see myself, or rather maybe she saw me in my best light. :)

Remarkable! TWO litsters on the same thread? and both bailed? And they both instigated this?:mad::(

Mom's generally do (see us in our best light):)

One artist once tried to draw me. She said she couldn't because my skin was so fair, the tonal differences were so miniscule making it hard to add detail.

Later on in life, I was sitting in a tech school with a chromium light cover in front of my desk, and this ugly dude was looking back at me in the reflection. I drew him one day while I waited for the instructor to drunkenly make his way around the room.

Nobody else has drawn me since.

I have been drawn on a few occasions by the same person i should add. He was a ex boyfriend and we both were artists. I did pose for him naked or semi naked for a few still lifes .

The intensity of the gaze of the person drawing you, almost examing your body in microscopic detail, watching the pencil sweep across the paper almost lovingly caressing every one of you limbs and curves ...it is so incredibly erotic and i would recommend it to anyone if they get chance to be drawn.

Yeah, I've had a couple of friends mess around and draw sketches when they were bored in lectures.

Any desire to be drawn?

"too fair" is a cop out.
one can adjust the lighting.
I have,on occasion been challenged drawing models who were extremely dark, but, like any subject — where there is the will, there is the way. (a bit of knowledge helps too).

tech school sounds like it was "interesting".

exactly.:D

Though, the flip side is: it can be creepy if the artist is...well "creepy"...or "gross"...or... :)
