Nope, never had that 'problem'.

HYE gone fishing and you caught a real big fish and pulled it into the boat and the fish started saying "MMMFFTHAMMM" and you're like "huh? what?" and the fish repeated himself, "MMMFFTHAMMM" and you realize he can't talk with a damn hook in his mouth so you pull the hook out and the fish is like, "Oh thank God, that really hurt! Now do you think you could put me back in the water so I don't freaking die out here?" and you feel so terrible to hurt the little fella that you immediately help him back into the water and he swims away and then it dawns on you that you just let a talking fish go and you use run-on sentences way too much? Well, have you ever?

Not yet. But I have written a part of a chapter thinking one thing, and suddenly found a better scene was staring me in the face, only I didn't recognize it beforehand.
