Perhaps if you focus on building friendships with women instead of girls "becoming too good of friends" won't be an issue.

You'll be put in the 'friend' category if she's not attracted to you or unavailable (there's a variety of reasons for both of those, BTW). So, the best things for you to do are present yourself in an honest, attractive way, get to know each other, spend time together and let her know you're attracted to her as a person in time.

And, of course get rid of the silly notion that you can become too good of friends. Love and great relationships are build on best friendships, so that's something you should strive for, instead of try to avoid.
