In 2013 Florida's Attorney General Pam Bondi asked Donald Trump for a donation to her ECO (a 527 group, like a PAC), "And Justice For All."
He pledged $25,000, which arrived just as Ms. Bondi was considering whether to prosecute Trump University for fraud, like other state AG's were doing. She declined to prosecute.
Trump's accountant claims that he got confused about where the money should go, Florida or Kansas, and in his confusion withdrew the money from the Trump Foundation instead of Trump's personal account. He sent it to Florida, but the Trump Foundation people thought it went to Kansas so they didn't think it was an improper donation.
Let's go over that again.
Donald's accountant sends Trump Foundation money to Florida and tells the Trump Foundation that the money went to Kansas. Thus the Trump Foundation doesn't know that they did anything wrong.
Matthew 6:3 When you give to charity, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.
Eventually the IRS slaps them with a $2,500 penalty. "Justice For All" of Kansas got nothing.
