I just watched Trump's press conference. I've been somewhat skeptical of him up until now, but I was extremely impressed with him tonight. Apparently he rested up and is no longer sleep deprived, or something. He looked and sounded very presidential. I have to give credit where credit is due. I've shortchanged the man. The new gop plan is for all the remaining losers to stay in the race in the hope that Trump can't get to 1237 and it can go to a convention.

That's basically the whole ballgame. If Trump wins those two, which are both winner-take-all, it's all over. If he doesn't win either one, though, it's probably going to Cleveland, and who the hell knows what will happen there.


For all the hoopla about Trump, I'm not sure this was a particularly strong Super Tuesday for a frontrunner. He only went over 40 percent in two states. More to the point, he has fewer than half the delegates awarded so far. Since Super Tuesday became a thing, I'm not sure the Republicans have ever come out of it with a frontrunner with a minority of the awarded delegates.
