Today's good news for Trump: Mitt Romney is apparently slated to give a "major" speech denouncing Orange Julius tomorrow. So far this campaign season, efforts like this have backfired so predictably, it's as if Wile E. Coyote became head of the RNC when no one was looking.

Orange Julius, as in Caesar is a good line...

;)

Trump as the Road Warrior... lol

More Bad News for Marco Rubio: He Just Lost the Support of Fox News

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/03/marco-rubio-just-lost-fox-news.html#

"In his role as the donor class's darling, Marco Rubio has enjoyed support from the Republicans' media arm, Fox News. Throughout the primary, Fox provided Rubio with friendly interviews and key bookings, including the first prime-time response to Barack Obama's Oval Office address on ISIS. Many of the network's top pundits, including Stephen Hayes and Charles Krauthammer, have been enthusiastic boosters. Bill Sammon, Fox's Washington managing editor, is the father of Rubio's communications director, Brooke Sammon.

But this alliance now seems to be over. According to three Fox sources, Fox chief Roger Ailes has told people he's lost confidence in Rubio's ability to win. "We're finished with Rubio," Ailes recently told a Fox host. "We can't do the Rubio thing anymore."

Ailes was already concerned about Rubio's lackluster performance in GOP primaries and caucuses, winning only one contest among the 15 that have been held. But the more proximate cause for the flip was an embarrassing New York Times article revealing that Rubio and Ailes had a secret dinner meeting in 2013 during which the Florida senator successfully lobbied the Fox News chief to throw his support behind the "Gang of 8" comprehensive immigration-reform bill. "Roger hates seeing his name in print," a longtime Ailes associate told me. "He was appalled the dinner was reported," the source said.

Already, there are on-air signs that Fox's attitude toward Rubio has cooled. This morning, anchor Martha MacCallum grilled Rubio about his poor Super Tuesday performance. "Is that a viable excuse at this point?" she asked, when he tried spinning his second-place finish in Virginia.

Fox's corporate support of Rubio has also been a growing source of tension with the network's more conservative talent. Sean Hannity was furious that the Times article reported how he went along with Rubio's immigration proposal. During an interview with Trump on Monday, Hannity barely defended Fox while Trump trashed Rubio backers like Hayes. "He shouldn't be on the air," Trump said. The best Hannity could muster was to change the subject. "Have you ever watched MSNBC?" he said. "They suck."

Ailes is now back to searching for a candidate the channel can rally behind. "He's thinking, What do we do about the whole damn thing?" one of the news executive's friends said."

The gang of 8 thing had him doomed from the beginning.
As a republican, it was suicide~which is exactly what's wrong with our system.
Politics over everything.

Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell is telling senators that the GOP will campaign against Trump in the GE to try and protect senate seats.

If that's true the Mitch McConnell really is a fucking moron who's so detached from the rest of America it he can't see that the more he fights the the better Trump is doing......and thus deserves what he gets LOL

The next twelve days will tell the tale in the battle between Trump and the GOP establishment. I think Trump will win the battle, but we shall see. There will be primaries or caucuses in these states:

Kansas

Kentucky

Louisiana

Maine

Hawaii

Idaho

Michigan

Mississippi

Florida

Illinois

Missouri

North Carolina

Ohio

YEP: How the P.C. Police Propelled Donald Trump: By assailing sensible conservatives as sexists, racists, and imbeciles, they paved the way for a jackass who embodies their worst fears. Trump’s campaign is driven by backlash against PC. “Note, for example, how Trump turned the incident in which Black Lives Matter activists humiliated Sen. Bernie Sanders to his own advantage. He didn’t bother drawing partisan lines or going after Sanders. Trump and his supporters couldn’t care less about any of that, and Trump until that point almost had almost never mentioned Sanders. Instead, he made it clear that he’d never allow himself to be shut down by a mob. That, for his loyalists, was the money shot, especially when Trump pretty much dared BLM to disrupt a Trump event, in effect inviting them for an ass-kicking. A lot of people loved that shtick, because they want to see someone—literally, anyone—stand up to groups like BLM, even if it’s in defense of poor Bernie, because they worry that they’re next for that kind of treatment. . . . The point remains that this is happening not because of an overly rightist GOP, but because American liberals, complacently turning away from the excesses of the left and eviscerating their own moderate wing, have damaged the two-party system to the point that an unhinged billionaire demagogue is raking in support from people who are now more afraid of leftists controlling the Justice Department than they are of Putin or ISIS.”

Not only that, but if by some miracle of voter fraud Trump manages to win the general election (Never going to happen) he won't be able to accomplish a damned thing (luckily for all Americans and the world at large) because he's going to be fighting against not only the Democrats but almost all of the Republicans in the House and Senate.

His single term would go down as the most ineffective in history, IF he managed to make it for four years without being impeached or assassinated. My guess would be impeached after trying to run the country as if he's the CEO of the World.

He'll be elected by the people and there is nothing you clowns can do about it. Mitt "who?" Romney jumping on the bandwagon. Running out of ineffective people to trot out. Why don't you have Obama and Josh Earnest try again?

You're in serious denial.

National polls show Trump getting his ass handed to him by Sanders AND Clinton by double digits.
I notice you didn't address the meat of the post, opting instead to further your delusion. typical.

Personally, I'm thinking that the GOP is going to have a brokered convention and oust Trump to the sidelines and independent candidacy.

reasons to VOTE FOR TRUMP!

[READ] National Security Leaders Open Letter About Donald Trump

We the undersigned, members of the Republican national security community, represent a broad spectrum of opinion on America’s role in the world and what is necessary to keep us safe and prosperous. We have disagreed with one another on many issues, including the Iraq war and intervention in Syria. But we are united in our opposition to a Donald Trump presidency. Recognizing as we do, the conditions in American politics that have contributed to his popularity, we nonetheless are obligated to state our core objections clearly:

His vision of American influence and power in the world is wildly inconsistent and unmoored in principle. He swings from isolationism to military adventurism within the space of one sentence.

His advocacy for aggressively waging trade wars is a recipe for economic disaster in a globally connected world.

His embrace of the expansive use of torture is inexcusable.

His hateful, anti-Muslim rhetoric undercuts the seriousness of combatting Islamic radicalism by alienating partners in the Islamic world making significant contributions to the effort. Furthermore, it endangers the safety and Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms of American Muslims.

Controlling our border and preventing illegal immigration is a serious issue, but his insistence that Mexico will fund a wall on the southern border inflames unhelpful passions, and rests on an utter misreading of, and contempt for, our southern neighbor.

Similarly, his insistence that close allies such as Japan must pay vast sums for protection is the sentiment of a racketeer, not the leader of the alliances that have served us so well since World War II.

His admiration for foreign dictators such as Vladimir Putin is unacceptable for the leader of the world’s greatest democracy.

He is fundamentally dishonest. Evidence of this includes his attempts to deny positions he has unquestionably taken in the past, including on the 2003 Iraq war and the 2011 Libyan conflict. We accept that views evolve over time, but this is simply misrepresentation.

His equation of business acumen with foreign policy experience is false. Not all lethal conflicts can be resolved as a real estate deal might, and there is no recourse to bankruptcy court in international affairs.

Mr. Trump’s own statements lead us to conclude that as president, he would use the authority of his office to act in ways that make America less safe, and which would diminish our standing in the world. Furthermore, his expansive view of how presidential power should be wielded against his detractors poses a distinct threat to civil liberty in the United States. Therefore, as committed and loyal Republicans, we are unable to support a Party ticket with Mr. Trump at its head. We commit ourselves to working energetically to prevent the election of someone so utterly unfitted to the office.

Yep, they're posturing towards that already.
Remember '68
Lbj was going for re-election. After winning NH, he dropped out knowing he couldn't get re elected.
That left just Eugene McCarthy.
Bobby Kennedy jumped in.
McCarthy won 6 primaries, Bobby 4 before he was shot.
That left only McCarthy who the dems didn't want.
They went to convention and named Humphrey, who hadn't run or won a single primary.
It pissed off the voters.
Nixon won.
Here we go again......

Let's hope UD leaves the country if Trump wins.

why would I leave? I have a great job, a wonderful family, as a bonus I'm not deluded and think that he has a snowball's chance in hell of winning the General even IF the Republicans don't kick him to the curb in a brokered convention.

It is going to be far too much fun watching the sad stories unfold from you trump idiots after the election.

An interesting article and some research on Trump and the rise of authoritarianism in the US. It explains a lot to me about why Trump is doing so well.

The rise of American authoritarianism
The American media, over the past year, has been trying to work out something of a mystery: Why is the Republican electorate supporting a far-right, orange-toned populist with no real political experience, who espouses extreme and often bizarre views? How has Donald Trump, seemingly out of nowhere, suddenly become so popular?

What's made Trump's rise even more puzzling is that his support seems to cross demographic lines — education, income, age, even religiosity — that usually demarcate candidates. And whereas most Republican candidates might draw strong support from just one segment of the party base, such as Southern evangelicals or coastal moderates, Trump currently does surprisingly well from the Gulf Coast of Florida to the towns of upstate New York, and he won a resounding victory in the Nevada caucuses...
