Hidden Passion (Closed)

Avellan just couldn`t believe it. The cat he had rescued, had gone from a cute little housecat, to a leopard, to a lioness, and then finally a human.

He shuddered in pleasure as she fell into his arms and felt and odd stirring.

"Wow now I`ve seen every thing." He smiled at her. God she was beautiful, he looked her up and down. He quickly looked away in embarrament and so as to not make her feel uncomfortable.

"Well... uhh... what exactly are you?"

Trying to get herself to a chair she looked to him.

I am Essence... I am a shifter... Were cat whatever you want to call it though I am the only one I know that can take on all feline forms.

Who are you?

Avellan blinked in surprise at her answer. "My name is Avellan Anastasio, a human. Umm.. you said you are a werecat you mean like a lycan?" He shifted uncomfortable on the couch, nervous about being in the presence of a creature form mythical and supernatural stories.

He got up and paced around the room, trying to clear his thoughts. He took a breath and looked back at her with fear in his voice. "So what happens now? Are you going to turn me into what you are?"

Hollywood is full of crap and the myths are just about crap too. I know of no way of changing you into what I am. I was born this way to a Leopard, even the "Lycan's as you called them can't change people that I know of.

She sat there still a little pained from shifting but managed to ball her legs up under her and curl up there on the couch.

I can leave if you would feel better without my being here... Thank you for the food however.

Avellan relaxed a little, but felt guilty when she said that she could leave if he wanted her to. "No no, you don`t have to leave that is, if you don`t want to, but if you want to you are free to go."
He grew embarrased as he spoke, "I really don`t want you to leave. I really like.. oh I`m so confused, and I`m probably confusing you as well."

I am not used to this form and what to do or how to be... that is why I remain in feline form so often.

She shook her head.

I don't understand much at all about humans or how to be around them or anything.

She was unsure of how her impending heat as a feline would translate into her being human but she either had to go back to being a cat and remain like that for a few days or risk who knows what.

Avellan heard the beeping noise of the oven, alerting him that it was fully preheated. He walked into the kitchen and, once out of sight of the werecat-girl, dropped to the floor and leaned up with his back pressed against the wall.

He tried to calm his nerves and regain his composure as he thought over about what had happened in the last few hours. He closed his eyes and cleared his thoughts, "What am I to do?" he muttered to himself.

She returned to her little housecat form and moved to find a window wondering if it was open or not thinking she should just go and let him forget about it all. Not finding any open windows she moved back to the couch and curled up not sure what to do or why she had shown him what she was.

Avellan moved to put his food in the oven and then returned back to the living room. He saw the weregirl had transformed back into her house cat form. For some unknown reason, this helped to calm him down, dispite the fact that she was a were.

"Well uhm..." He walked over to the couch and sat down beside her. "I don`t even know your name, but you don`t have to changed into your human form to tell me. I don`t want you to hurt yourself."

He hesitantly reach out to pet her head and back, "Maybe I`ll give you a nickname while your in this form. How about Katty?" He smiled weakly and looked down embarrassed, "I know, stupid, I`m not good at conversation, especially around women."

She tilted confused. She had told him her name was Essence. Had he not heard her? She, nudged against his hand purring trying to calm him more. She knew she should remain like this till he was ready to handle anything else. When out though she could protect him and this place. Maybe all she said before would sink in and he would be willing to help her learn to be human.

He smiled down at Essence, yes that was her name, he had forgotten for a minute from the shock. "It`s odd really, I keep thinking your a regular house cat and am treating you as such. But your not a cat, your a human or part human or werecat, whatever, you know what I mean."

He chuckled to himself, "God, imagine how Jason would react if he saw you. But I won`t tell him, don`t worry."

Closing her eyes she purred at his speaking of his friend wondering what this party was he heard them talking about on the phone and was curious. He seemed to find his curiosity about his friends reaction to her funny... she wondered why? If anyone was around she could remain in feline form and only become human around Avellan.

She smirked too at his laughing and nuzzled there with him.

Avellan looked at the wall clock and saw that it was 7:39 AM. He had to get himself something to eat. Getting up from the couch, he headed back into the kitchen, got his food out of the oven, and set it out on a plate, "Do you want anything to eat or drink?"

She shook her head no though did tilt her head really wondering if she should become human again... and why she wanted to become human for this human? She followed him to the kitchen and hopped up on the counter and laid down watching him her tail flicking contentedly.

This was strange... she tried to speak in this form...

Why... do... you hide... from your fr...friends

His shoulders sag as he hears her words. Then he turned to her.

"I wouldn`t say that I hide from them. First of all, I have only one friends. I`m not a very social person. In high school I was the one who got picked on by the jocks, preppies, and popular people. I guess it was because I was small and shy which made me an easy target. The only think that kept me going was me friend Jason. He was like the brother that I never had since I had no family. He helped me and became my one true friend. That argument that you heard was just him being a fool. He`ll be back to normal by tomorrow."

Essence...your... friend... you did... help.

Tilting her head she would deal with this in this form for now waiting till he was comfortable with her being human.

The grinned and ran his hand along Essences back.

"Yes, I guess you could be considered my friend as well, though I haven`t known you that long. Still, it`s good to have someone around. I`m glad I met you."

He playfully scratched her chin, then grabbed his plate of chicken, and took a bite of the food.

She purred and muzzled his hand before closing her eyes and napping briefly. She hissed faintly in her sleep as she laid there. Her tail twitching intently as she dreamed. Reliving something in her sleep that was clearly less than pleasant.

Avellan smiled as Essence fell asleep. Soon he went on with eating his meal in silence so as not to wake her. After awhile, when he was finished eating, he got up and yawned from weariness. Sleeping on the couch wasn`t the best way to get some rest and anyways, he had only gotten about 5 hrs of rest.

He cleaned up the dishes then headed off to his room. When he got in his bedroom he simply flopped right onto the bed, too tired to take off his clothes, and fell asleep.

Sometime in the night she woke and moved to the couch. Her dreams still troubling had forced her shift to her human form crying out in her deep sleep till her shift was complete. She laid there still deeply sleeping long after sunrise. Her long raven hair softly framing her face, long toned legs and toned but blessed form faintly moving with each breath.

Avellan woke up with a headache. He stretched and grabbed some Advil, popped it into his mouth, and then headed over to his closet to get into some new clothes. He was changed within a few minutes in a fresh white tee-shirt and blue jeans.

He headed towards the kitchen, but noticed Essence lying on the couch in human form. He grabbed a small blanket from a nearby chair and put it over Essence, hoping to give her some comfort. He smiled down at her, admiring her beautiful features and flawless face.

She curled up in the blanket as it softly fell across her form. A soft purr and smile graced her lips as she slept for another hour.

Waking up she moved towards the kitchen thinking she heard him moving about.

Apparently I shifted in my sleep. I can go back to feline form if that would be more comfortable for you?

She stood there in the doorway biting at her lip.

Avellan turned and smiled. He was getting use to Essence around here. At her comment, he grew concerned, "No no, you don`t have to. Your a guest here and it`s my duty to make sure your comfortable. Whatever form make you comfortable is fine by me."

Avellan returned to gathering the supplies he`d need for his breakfast, "Do you want anything for breakfast at all?"

I'm not really hungry... I will go hunting later... She laughed a little. This time in a larger form so that you will not have to rescue me from attacking trees.

She bit her lip fearing how that sounded after she said it.

I... I'm sorry I am not used to human form and yet...

She looked away...

This is the first time ever I find myself around another human and wanting to be in human form instead of hiding and staying away from humans.

Avellan nodded, "It`s ok, your not acting weird, at least not in any way that I see it as."

He put some bread in the toaster then turned back to her, "You like hunting? That`s good, so do I. Mind if I tag along with you?" He did like hunting, but that was not only reason that he wnted to go with her. He wanted to she what she was like as a predator.
