Hidden Passion (Closed)

I don't hunt in human form... So it may be difficult for you to keep up without the prey seeing or hearing you.

She walked over closer to where he was confused about why she wanted to remain in this form for so long. Normally she hated being in human form around other humans... her shifting for a time got her put in a cage and force to remain human until... "show time".

Avellan smiled at her as he leaned up against the wall. "Ok, if you wnat to hunt by yourself, I understand. I usually scare the animals away and that would make it harder for you to bring one down."

He turned back towards his toast as it popped up, "How about you do some quick hunting while I eat my breakfast and get this place fixed up."

You want rabbit Deer or Bear for lunch or dinner?

She watched him jumping a little when the toast popped up, her eyes locking briefly on the toaster as if watching prey for a split second till she saw it was just more food. Looking back to him she blushed a little at her more animalistic reaction to the toaster.

He grinned shyly, "I don`t know. Surprise me." He sat down at a chair and began eating. He felt like he was growing attatched to Essence. Every time she looked ino his eyes or came near him, he felt a pleasent tingling run along him. "See you in a few?"

She nodded and first opened the door then shifting into her birth form of a leopard and bolted from the house vanishing soon into the woods to hunt. Moments later the roar of a bear could be heard as well as the the distant thundering sound of of deer or Elk or something running fast.

An hour later she came dragging in leopard form a fairly large elk dropping it close to the house before plopping down near it. The Elk did not go down without a fight and she had the battered ribs to prove it.

Avellan jumped at the roar, then realized that it had probably been Essence. He ran out and saw Essence dragging an elk towards the house. He started in surprise at the dead elk then looked bak at Essence, "Wow, good thing you aren`t hunting me, I probably wouldn`t last anywhere near as long as that elk." he said with a laugh.

She snorted laying there trying to let her ribs stop hurting but still tried to speak...

Antlers harder than I remember...

She rolled to lay on her side eyes closing as she took a few deep breaths.

"Are you ok? You need me to help you?" He walked over to her injured side and knelt down beside her. The brusing didn`t look all too bad, but he couldn`t be sure. He slowly reach out a hand and pet her back in an attempt to calm her down "It`s ok, I`m here for you. if you need anything."

A little rest is all he was not keen on my offer to be dinner. I will be fine just bruised

She moved to lay her head on his lap a paw moving to bat at his other hand playfully trying to reassure him.

Avellan felt that tingling feeling as Essence placed her head on his lap. He gave a weak smile as he scratch behind her ears. He felt safe around her and happy. There was also something odd about the way she eyed him and continually rubbed up against him, like she was thinking of something.... No she couldn`t be thinking about that already now, could she?

She had no idea why she felt so safe and comfortable around this male... it could not be heat she was not yet entering that just yet... could it be something more human that she still did not understand. All she knew is that she enjoyed being near this male and being human around him.

With that thought she once more began to transform back to her human form as she lay there her eyes closing a little her teeth gritting a little from the pain. Then looking to him and trying to smile.

He smiled back at her as he brushed her hair out of her face. "If you keep hurting yourself like this, you`ll never fully mend." he said with a chuckle. He looked into her eyes and was in awe at their beauty. Blushing, he looked away, "Umm.. we`d better move that elk carcass before someone notices it and gets suspicious.

Maybe I should remain human then for a while?

She thought about it and nodded slowly standing she looked to him once she was standing. Do you know how to prepare the Elk and skin it and all that?

She looked to it stomping a bare foot down on the almost bowl like part of the antlers in petty revenge as if killing it was not enough. She laughed and waited for him to stand up before trying to move it.

He smiled at her, "Yes, I know a little about skinning, but `ve never done it before on an elk." He got up, grabbed the creature by the hind legs, and dragged it off towards a tree. He walked into his house and got some rope. "This may take awhile, so go ahead and make yourself at home inside if you want to."

When he returned, he tied the rope around the legs, then threw the other end of the rope over a strong tree limb. He had the elk in he air and began skinning it. After an hour or two, the elk was completely skinned.

Shaking her head no she moved to try to help him being as careful of her ribs as she could. Going to the house and getting plates and a couple of knives so they could carve up the meat and then she stretched out the hide and prepared it to dry for leather. Hanging up some of the meat to dry out for storage. It was as if she had been trained by "natives" on how to do all this.

Pausing from time to time and taking a few deep breaths to calm her ribs.

When he was finally finished Avellan took the meat to the frig to preserve them. He waked over to the sliding glass door and watched Essence with curiosity. He noticed that she kept pausing to catch her breath. He walked outside and knelt down next to her, "Hey, you need to rest and let you bruise heal. Your leg is almost back to normal, but if you continue to push yourself, it`ll become irritated and swollen."

She nodded and sighed.

I know just trying to keep busy and out of the way till you are comfortable with what I am... I guess.

She smiled to him and slowly stood up and dusted her jeans off and started towards the house.

Is that why she was acting so aloof, she though he was uncomfortable with what she was? He ran over to her and put a hand on her shoulder, "Hey, I`m not uncomfortable with what you are. Why should I be?"

Its just... you really seemed to be confused or scared or something and I don't want to upset you... you have helped me.

She turned around to face him her eyes almost softly glowing like a feline as she looked deep into his eyes.

He shrugged at her comment, "Well, I am confused. I`ve never been around a girl without being ignored or sneered at. And yes I`m a little scared, but that`s because your a.. werecat or shifter or whatever you call it and you could easily tear me apart if I say the wrong thing and make you mad or offend you some way."

He smiled at her, "But I`m not truely uncomfortable around you, I`m just.. well.. I.. I don`t know."

I act on instinct but I would not attack unless it was in self defense.

Smiling to him though I find it hard to believe that other human females would ignore you.

Unconsciously she did act on instinct and kissed his cheek softly as she had seen other humans do as comfort to one another.

Avellan stood shocked as Essence kissed him. He put a hand on his cheek feeling a strange tingling all over his body. "Wow, never had that happen before." He put his hand down and smiled at her, wondering if he should kiss her back. "Umm... why... what... uh." Was i getting hot out here or was it just him?.

I told you I act on instinct and trying to combine that with what I have seen other humans do.

She bit her lip unsure if she had done something wrong or not. Searching his face and eyes for the answer to that.

He stood there, waiting for some kind of reaction, then he gave a weak smile. He walked back tot he house and grabbed some food from the frig.

Avellan... She followed him unsure of what to do or say... this was all far too new to her. What do we do... What do I do... I have no real understanding of being human... Help me?
