Home Front 1942

I see Sheriff Bernie Smith got ambushed by the German, and now Chief Talbrut is interrogating Jack. What is their relationship, who's in charge of what?

And can someone give me a quick background of how the German got captured? That apparently happened pre-thread

Captain B - can't tell you about the relationship, but I believe the Nazi was captured when Jack saved the Moore boy. Could be wrong, though. Ariosto may have to fill in the details.

Glad to see ya here~

Thanks, ariosto, for pegging my Nazi as I exactly as I imagined him. But the bugger will have to die, no easy escapes for him. I think it's awfully convient for him that he has just happened to take Sophie as a hostage, being that she just had sex with the commander of a coastguard cutter. He will no doubt use Sophie to manipulate Lt. Bronson when he hijacks the ship, threatening to kill the girl if he is not taken out into international waters to meet with the German squandron. That was my thinking anyway. I'd like to know what Angel and SW think.

Of course, Angel, I guess that means, Weiler would need to rigorously interrogate Sophie to, ah, pump her for useful information.

Usually I follow my partner's lead, Tornado, so do whatever you want with your character and mine :) I just want some rough sex...lol

I couldn't find a reference to the location of Sophie's apartment, so I just picked a likely street. If that needs corrected, let me know.

Sophies apartment is off Farragut behind the Tradewinds Bar.

The rescue was prethread. Davy had stumbled on two German Uboat survivors at Portugeese Point. One was wounded and died. The other an enlisted man took Davy hostage but in a confrontation with Talbrut, becker and others he surrendered. Jacjs fluent use of German raised more than one eyebrow.

Could be that Weiler was the officer and exchanged ID with the dead enlisted man.

Feel free to develop the C.O.P. as you wish.
I see him as gruff, direct a realist but all in all a good cop.

We need to find a potential love interest for you chief Talbrut, but this town is full of lusty women.

Tornado...very good action plan.
Quincy is due at 5...maybe a night ramming attack with the cutter?

Okay Tornado, shall the German get blown away or live to die another day? I saw your plans for sabotage. Maybe a shootout with the hapless cops in the back and then an escape?

Street name change noted.

Suggestion...Since a climax aboard Nels CGCutter seems in the offing and since the cutter might very well be at sea right now welcoming in the Quincy...a hearbredth escape, then a place to hide until nightfall(and coerce that info from Sophie)...then slip aboard the cutter etc etc....

You guys play this just as you want to.
This was only a possibility.

Immediate plans...

The German will shoot his way out of Sophie's apartment building (duck Angel) then recall seeing a nice abandoned building on his way to her place. Hey, rough neighborhood means abandoned buildings, right? That's where my Nazi and the dame will hole up.

As to the rest, I guess I need to get sojournerwolf's input.

Deak needs some help...

Poor young Deak is laying unconscious in the alley adjacent to the Tradewinds Bar.

If anyone can help him, then both he and I would be eternally grateful.

:D

My apologies

Sorry for the delay in posting. RL and this computer have been something of a bear the past few days. I will try to catch up tonight and tomorrow.

Sorry I haven't responded yet but what I know about the Coast Guard and ships you could fit in a thimble...lol If someone could give me a quick lesson I would greatly appreciate it :) I just need to know what kind of info to give the German!! Thanks!!

Don't worry about it...

My Nazi's not looking for technical info or anything. I had imagined all Sophie would know about is basically the location of the base, and perhaps the men she has slept with. Certainly, she could mention Nels. I know he didn't talk about himself, but he was in uniform, wasn't he.

Hope that helps. That information will give me enough to go on. That and Sophie's reaction, of course, to the German's interogation techniques.

Please excuse me if I am unable to post for a while! While the tragedy has not directly affected me I feel emotional nonetheless!!

God Bless All!

Thumbing a ride...

Anyone want to show at the diner and give poor bereft Claire Fouree a ride back to her grandfather's house?

Sojourner, you have wheels?

Claire waits for a lift home from Sim's...If that's not possible maybe Toni and Jack can get a cab and take her home themselves.

Citizens of Fair Harbor!....
The BIG DANCE on the pier is tomorrow night.
Tonight the USO club will be open with lots of additional hostesses called in to dance wth the Quincy boys but tonight is not the big one.

Maisy, Frank...where are you? have you gone to the beach?
If so I may have another idea to bring into play.

Also....was Deak the child that was given to John to 'place' and was he the real son of Frank sr.

Can you capsulize Deaks parentage for me?
Gracias!

deak's parentage????

Deak is Maggies son by Andrew and yes he is the baby you placed. This means that he would be an heir to Andrews fortune.

Who did I place him with?....Pardon me I need a primer on Fair Harbor Scandals.

deak's parentage????

Deak was given to Edward Taylor and his first wife...Don't think she has ever been given a name

Yes we are... [grins]... what is your idea? I'm still trying to decide whether Maisy looses her virginity or not... I'm thinking not... as I just love frustrating Jehanox... [ggls]

You are correct... I've left Edward's history with his first wife deliberately vague so as people can play on that as much as they wish.

I also have Edwards present wife Marie thoroughly in the dark about it all.

So anything could have happened there.

[smiles]

M.T.

P.S. to clarify... Edward Taylor is Maisy Taylor's dad who is out of the picture most of the time as he lives for his work... leaving present wift Marie very lonely.

Deak

Wow!

All these posts about Deak. Getting exciting.

MT/Faith: Can we clarify on how long Edward and Marie have been married? If it's being more than a few years, then we need to work out why he didn't join the family until a year ago.

Ariosto: Frank and Maisy are at a secret cove about 10 miles up (or down) the beach from Fair Harbor.

MT: It's not me you are frustrating. But you will be confusing the hell out of poor old Frank.

A Idea....

What if Deak has been with the Parents of the First Mrs. Taylor. A destraught Edward feeling unable or unwilling (take your pick) to take on the resposibility of raising a child by himself basicly abandonded the young Deak to his "maternal grandparents" care...

Edward remarries but doesn't bring Deak into the new family unit.

Upon the death of the Grandparents, Deak comes to live with the Taylor family....and he has a grudge.....

Between the genes of Andrew...and the Abandonment of the only father he has ever known....ta dah....Deak's rather twisted personallity

so....what do you think????

By the way....

Sheriff: Maggie will need to be notified of Andrew's Death.
She is at the Apartment getting ready to head back to the office.

To add to faith's idea

Could we make it so that Edward's first wife had a mental condition which encouraged him to leave her? Or perhaps she died rather horrifically?

Thus Deak would also blame Edward for his mother's death... illness... not knowing of course that she wasn't his real mother?

That would explain also why the grandparent's took care of him... I'd assume they were rather strict with him also?

Also... as Edward... generally (despite skeletons in his closet) is a decent man... I'd assume the grandparent's INSISTED on taking care of Deak convincing him that he couldn't possibly give Deak the stability they could. He didn't have the heart to tell anyone that Deak wasn't really his or his ex or deceased wife's so he gave up Deak without much of a fight.

Desperate as he was to have a family, Marie would have been perfect for him. Ready made family so to speak, made him feel as if he could redeem himself in a way.

Now that Deak is back with him... he's determined to keep the boy safe from any talk and so little is known of Deak's past in Fair Harbour.

Umm... does any of that make sense to anyone?

[lol]
