Bring your taste buds to The Health Museum this summer and explore some sweet science. Jelly Belly® presents Candy Unwrapped exposes the science of sweets and sours through the biology, chemistry, physiology and psychology of sugar. Pucker up for the super sour challenge! Pedal your way to an energy burn to discover how much time it takes to burn off a single sugar cube. Take the jelly bean test – where what you taste depends on what your nose knows. And catch a whiff of smells to see what sweet memories are triggered. It's going to be a sweet summer!

In addition to a major exhibition of local fiber artist Cindy Hickok, the Craft Center will host Warp Is Not Enough in its Artist Hallway space. Organized by the Contemporary Handweavers of Houston, in conjunction with the 2007 Contemporary Handweavers of Texas Biennial Conference, the show comprises the work of four internationally recognized fiber artists: Bonnie Inouye, James Koehler, Ann Matlock and Anita Luvera Mayer. The range of work shown includes large-scale tapestries that reflect the rhythmic, repetitive processes inherent in the natural world, intricate tapestries of subtly shaded natural forms executed with handspun and dyed silk, contemporary clothing inspired by ethnic originals with embellishments done by hand, and handwovens characterized by flowing lines, intriguing textures and bold images.

I bet my stuffed up nose would be very confused.

Did anyone see the chocolate exhibit at the science museum? Talk about racing to the gift shop before going home!

No chocolate for you then.

Would you both feel better if I mentioned the bug exhibit at the science museum? They have vending machines with edible buggies. I think I'm going to pass on that.
