I almost got hit by the metrorail.

Early on, I had gone to a friend's house in the museum district and we walked from his house to the art museum. I took one step to turn around on what I thought was just a sidewalk and then I hear the whoosh of the train going by.

grrr, I'm not blind. I just happen to like my coke bottle glasses. They make me look distinguished.
