Houston, Tx Rollcall

Not only is the land more valuable than the park can bring, the lawsuits resulting from the uncontrollable gang activity have become too expensive.

I've not been there in 5 or more years. Has it gotten *that* bad?

We went to Astroworld last year for Fright Fest. We saw 5 fights between gang members and in general by gang members. I know of 15 arrests that night. Big packs of these kids were running thru the park knocking anyone down in their way. We left early and have never been back. We go to San Antonio now.

I've been there quite a few times this summer, being a new Houstonian, and I never noticed it was that bad. I really enjoyed it and am sad to hear it closing. I guess my first fright fest will be my last :(

I've never been myself - being in Austin, I thought i would eventually make it down there since I always wanted to go as a kid, yet we weren't the type to travel to those places :(

Melli! I haven't seen you on the boards since I came back recently! You left the Texas Siberia for Houston? Hmm....methinks I'd have stayed in Siberia.

Not only is Houston too...Houstony, it is also the home of my former-dear-friend-now-mortal-enemy (loooong story). So...whydoncha come to San Antonio for a visit? lol
