How do you store your toys?

up in the closet in my bedroom on the top shelf. I run my glass toys in the dishwasher b/c they are pyrex...everything else gets hand washed with regular dish soap.

Remove the batteries first and clean with hot soapy water!

If it's not battery operated, just toss it in the dishwasher, hopefully MOM doesn't come to visit and offer some help around the kitchen.

Mine did, all I could think of was "Girls tool of survival mom"

quick thinking, to be fair!

Toy boxes

I actually have adult sex toy boxes. You can buy many of them online. I try to keep original boxes that they toys came in if they are good boxes. Otherwise I have toys bags that I keep them in or ziplock bags. Don't store silicone toys together as they can melt. Also jelly toys will melt together. Store all your toys so they are not touching. The cool thing about adult toy case is that they lock if you have kids.

Cleaning, I use mild antibacterial soap and water for toys that are waterproof and adult toy cleaner spray for my vibes (not waterproof). Then wipe them off with a lint-free cloth.

Cal Exotics make a lot of yucky jelly toys that can melt or ooze that are made of jelly. If they are old, they can get yucky looking and look as if they have been used. I worked at an adult store and noticed a toy like this that we were selling. I told my boss and she said it was lube. But it wasn't as I researched it and found out about toys leaching chemicals and goo. I would return it to them and not use it. They just came out with a new line of silicone toys, so you may be better off trying those.

Silicone is one of the best materials for softer sex toys, as they don't leach or ooze and are body-safe. But, some companies will say it is silicone when it is not such as sili-gel, or silicone-like. Good toy companies make sex toys out of 100% medical grade silicone, that way you know it is the real deal.

Thanks much for the additional advices. I guess we are weak for pretty packaging. ;) The Lelo is still the #1 toy, and it had the best packaging. Cal Exotics toy was the most expensive by far, so our expectations were somewhat elevated. Oh well. Will consider silicone for the next purchase. Thanks much again!

i wipe mine down with disposable antibacterial wipes and keep them in an individual shoe box each inside a plastic tub under the bed.

lesson learned

Well, since I found my mom's when I was 13, plus her porn collection, I'm pretty careful about my toys (and I have no physical porn, only Lit!). I don't have a 13 y/o lol but I just learned that lesson and have hidden them close, but carefully since I got my first one in college. I usually go for unseeming containers that can be placed on the nightstand or near it, such as glasses cases, or purses. I find that works pretty well, b/c they're boring on the outside, which keeps people from snooping!

Pretty similar to others, but I have "green" orgasms

I keep all my dildo's and vibes in a small craft box - think tackle box, but from Michael's. Dividers are great for keeping toys separate from each other. Dividers are great for lube, condoms and batteries. Keep a spray bottle of toy cleaner in there. Small combination lock is easy to open and that's gonna keep it everyone but the die hard snoop. Goes under the bed.

Still keep my bullet in the bottom drawer of my night stand. It's my favorite go to in the middle of the night, and what the heck. It's not blatantly phallic, so I guess I don't worry to much. It's not like my 9" life-like jelly that would raise a few eyebrows.

Never had any problems and our toys seem to last longer than what I've seen on some Customer reviews. Clean with cleaner or just soap and water. I do like to take the batteries out, I've had one or two cheaper toys batteries corrode. It wasn't much of a loss.

Also, got an Energizer 15 minute battery charger at Target. It's great and I guess it makes me have "green" orgasms.

At the moment most of it is in two drawers of my lingerie chest.

I tend to like Pyrex/e-glass and stainless toys, so that helps a little as far as not worrying much about melting/plastic interactions.

And fortunately I don't have to worry about kids finding it.

I have dedicated a drawer in my captain's bed to store my toys. I've used a towel to line the drawer and most toys are blanketed in their own personal hand towel. So far, I've not shared my toys with a lover. I was mine right after use (well, w/in reason) with hot water and soap. I have a bamboo bento box from a gift of Todd & Holland Tea on my bookcase headboard that holds my condoms.

Unrelated personal note: I have sensitive skin and have learned to test new lubes on the insides of my elbows before using on even more sensitive areas. I'm not shy about returning any that cause skin reactions. But package them well - I was told at the post office that if they leak in transit, the US Postal Service will pass along any charges incurred (like their calling in a Hazmat team for a package with a suspicious leak).

Mine are kept in my night-stand. Each toy is individual wrapped in paper-towel, and then bagged for cleanliness. Even still, I give them a rinse before use.

I have quite a few toys and recently bought a small lockbox/safe to put them all in. I got it from a store called "storables" I'm not sure if it's just a local thing or if they are a chain, though. I'm sure you could find a safe at another store though. Anyway, it's small enough to be stored in my dresser drawer or in this little cube thing I use as a stepping stool.

Currently, mine are in a men's travel bag that I purchased at Walmart, however they are starting to outgrow it, lol. I recently purchased a Caboodles brand overnight bag. It has pockets and loops on the sides and an open area in the middle of the bag/case. It's black quilted material.

I have always kept them on the floor between my bed and desk. No one seems to show any interest in it, but both could easily slide under the bed and be covered by the dust ruffle.

Edited to add:

I keep most toys in ziplock bags, but like the idea of the paper towels. I either wash mine with soap and water or an antibacterial wipe after use.

I keep my stuff in a large ziplock bag, pad locked in a foot locker.

You should be able to find cleaning solution or instructions with any toy or at an adult shop. And don't worry about the returned item thing. I've never heard of any of those places accepting returns unless they've never been out of the box. Even that is rare.

Home made storage

After all my other sex toys dying on me due to their upkeep I decided to order new ones and give them a decent home. I crocheted a bag big enough to fit my jack rabbit, mini vibe, mini egg, oral b with removed head, and massager with small head. Also made sure there was room in the bag for lube and condoms. I didnt want the yarn hairs to get caught in the vibe so i lined the interior with a satin like fabric and then made a zipper on the top for easy access. The zipper edge pokes out a little but its cool no one will see it :p. I keep it in my underwear drawer in the corner covered by my bathing suit and other stuff. So far there have not been any malfunctions!

Well for cleaning I use unscented baby wipes doused with all natural cleaner. I sometimes use the Diva Wash that came with my diva cup since its all natural and there are no worries if it does get in "there" (but its not possible since there is no residue) Also Dr. Bronners peppermint castille soap is great but I wouldnt fool with the toy immediately after cleaning it, wait an hour or two. But any sex toy wash is fine, you can find it at an adult store or purchase it discreetly from ebay (BRAND NEW!) or another website
