I was in the band. I was on the debate team (indeed, my senior year, I was in fact co-captain of the debate team).
My nerd credentials are authentic.I did, however, race sailboats at the time. And I still do. And, I bet, barring horrible tragedy, I will 20 years from now (my hero is a guy who raced his last race with us when he was 80. Fuckin' A...80!!!). How many star quarterbacks are still playing??? hmmmm???
