How many times have you got lost on a trip only to find something completely different and fun?

My wife and I, with another couple, went to see the seaside 'geyser' El Bufadero, south of Ensenada, Mexico, but, once off the main highway, we found this awesome bar and stopped for a drink. It was a dusty old school saloon, with a giant container of mezcal with a snake in it.

We went on to see El Bufadero, but returned to that saloon for a few rounds. It was sad to see that, years later, it had been turned into yet another tourist trap.
