How many partners have you had?

Hi SSG, I voted because I was afraid of Chem_E's threat!!!!



Like Hatara, though, I'm going to keep my lips zipped about my response.

I've had the opportunity to ask 3 men in R/L how many partners they've had and these were their responses:

Age of Man.............................Partners
58...........................................200-300 (he lost count)
55...........................................63
mid-40s.....................................7

The circumstances under which I asked these guys for their numbers were such that it wouldn't be to their benefit to jack up their count, so I tend to believe the validity of this data. Isn't that amazing, though? In a circle of women friends, I asked the same question and the responses ranged from 1 to 4. So we asked ourselves, who the heck are these men sleeping with? Prostitutes? Does that count? I suppose...

Further qualitative discussion posited that the men who had the high end responses (200+ and 63) lived through the free-love decades of the 60s and 70s before AIDS/HIV was a consideration. The man with the 200+ response was in the service overseas, so perhaps he increased his count during his stint.

Just rambling thoughts (You know me and numbers!!)

I had quite a few partners before I was married and am just glad to have been at that stage in my life before HIV/AIDS and really do feel for the next generation with all those raging hormones and coping with greater risk and fear.

I guess I've always sought out women with more experience. Even in my 20's, the chicks that I ran with already had partner counts numbering in the 30s and 40s. They were great fucks! Practice makes perfect, I guess. They had techniques that no virgin or inexperienced woman could have hoped for. Their totals never bothered me, their totals are part of what made them SO GOOD.

I've read that when it comes to counting sexual partners, men will overestimate (trying to appear studly), and women will underestimate (trying to avoid being stigmatized as slutty). While I'm not doubting that your friends were being honest, I don't think that they are representative of the female population as a whole. I had friend who celebrated her 18th birthday by having sex with 6 guys in an hour, and judging by the posts of other Literoticans, I don't think her experience was that rare. Keep in mind that we're talking consentual funsex here, if we take into account those engaged in professional prostitution, the average partner count gets skewed fast! There must be people here whose counts run to hundreds or even thousands! Not that this is a bad thing, I'm just saying that, statistically, very low partner counts are bound to be the exception rather than the rule.
