How many Stories and Forum people do you know IRL?

I'm still asleep and on first parsing I was wondering

1) why on earth you'd want homemade camels
2) what on earth is different about them that they qualify as homemade
3) why on earth I'd thought of #2 above
4) and what on earth you planned to do with an indeterminate number of them

I need coffee.
And I read your message, all four points, and started wondering why you'd be confused about homemade carmels.

Then I read #1 again.

I need another coffee.

I know one guy who's posted stories here but isn't active on the site any more. About half the people I've beta-read for have used email addresses or Word docs including a name, though I've not asked if that name is actually theirs. Names are a flexible feast in the UK anyway, as long as a name isn't used for fraudulent purposes.

The last time I was roped into any acting, it was to play the back half of a pantomime camel. More comfortable than being a panto horse, as you can stand up. The costume was pretty much hand-made.

I've met three in person over the years, none of whom are still on the forum. All three are women, but I didn't meet them alone, their husbands or my wife were also there. Not that I didn't trust all three of them, and knew I can be trusted, but after seeing some nasty stories spread on the GB-and once here- about lies about what happened when people met, I wanted to make sure we weren't alone. I chat with a few through e-mail and skype as I don't really do social media.

I had something set up years ago to meet another person, but it fell through and probably for the best. We weren't planning on meeting to shake hands and get drunk together.

I direct everyone who does that to this thread:

https://forum.literotica.com/thread...ms-word-docs-with-others-editors-etc.1599246/

And I straight up ask them if it's their name, but specify they don't have to confirm if it is, just offering proof that the information is available on their word docs and they can fix it.

Have also had people from Lit accidentally send me their full name and address... immediately deleted the documents and told them with the hopes they'd send it again without that information on it, lol.

Have also had someone confidently state they couldn't be found online with the information I had on them, and found them on LinkedIn in a matter of four search terms.

Our identities are not as secret a many of us would like.

My wife saved me from this happening. The first time I'd found an editor here, I mentioned it to her and what story I'd be sending, and she says "You're editing the name on the word doc, right?" I'm like "Of course....I don't know how to do that."

Just one. Met up for coffee ( haven't the opportunity to meet up again)
Several Litsters know my name( I know theirs too) and where I work. Have sent snail mail to one Litster and they to me. Unlikely that I will ever meet anyone else from here.

knew a few from way back... still in touch.

Know some current people well on threads and chats and would meet some if the chance came up. Know the names of some and they know mine.. seen photos of them.

Mostly, we're all people.

It's nice when a forum member comments on a story, it makes the connection slightly stronger

I've met up with four listers in RL, two in the US, two in the UK. None of them were authors, but two were regular posters here (no longer). Two were dates (this was when I was single).

It's something a lot of people overlook.

I register all products under my pen name to avoid that, lol.

Or wine...

There is one other writer (@theWollstonecraftWoman), four readers (not counting family members), and none of the rude commenters (or do I). Would a rude comment maker tell you they were the rude commenter if the rude commenter posted the comment as Anon? I think not!
