It's not cool when people thing your a little kid.

I mean sure, when they think you look 20 it's all good.

But when your 15 and they think you're 12. And then your 18 w/ a kid and they think you're 12- and then your 20 with 2 kids and they think you're 12. And then you turn 21 and some guy sais- are you sure you don't have the digets backwards!

It's also not cool when you're a teen ager and all you fit into are studid baby clothes! I'm so jealous- now that I'm an adult, the six your olds have cooler clothes than anybody! (When I was a kid, all your 'little kids' clothes had fruit or bunnies on them, y'know) Hell- they even have thongs! And all that other stuff that people are complaining about. That so would have come in handy when I was 16.

ps- I'm not the only one. Keltic prinicess has the same problem.

the only question is- if I look 12, does that mean that all the guys who are attracted to me are sickos

I'm bumping this thread, because I missed it the first time around.

I am 29- the big 30 next month.

(most of the responses are 2 years old, so you have to do a little adding to get current figures.

I applogize for confusion. But why ask this question again in a new thread when so many people have already answered?

I was getting all happy that some old friends had returned. Chicklet, Blessedbe, Pop_54, and some others.

The thing you have to ask yourself is this: Do you really care what others think of you?

Hell, when I have my facial hair some people have guessed me up near 30 years old.. when I'm clean shaven, they say I look 15. Most people aren't perceptive or observant enough to guess ages correctly anyways, so why would you value their opinions?

Just be happy with yourself, and your ample bossoms.

In general- no. But it does effect how they interact with you. And it includes people who may have an impact on your life- certain people in whatever postitions of 'authority' (can't think of them right now, but trust me they are there)

I also don't like the attitude that I sometimes detect that I'm too young to be a parent, or too young to know what I'm doing. Sometimes peoples perceptions do matter- it just depends on what people they are.

It's not really a *huge* deal- but it's not always good either.

LOL- abt the facial hair. When I was a store clerk I *always* carded the guys w/ facial hair. You never know what young face is lurking beneath. I'm on to you guys!!!

Now that I'm almost 30- I get more 18-19 guesses. It's not so bad. But when I was 21, I figured the only way I could get a guy to look at me and realize that I wasn't a little kid was if I met him at a bar! (Because guys my age did tend to look at me and think I was a little kid- and look right over me -literally and figuratively)

It does sometimes create some real life problems. (not to mention annoyances. What kid wants to be constantly told "OH! YOu're younger and you're older! It looks like it's the other way around. You hear some of the same dumb things over and over again.) It's starting to 'even out' now though. Just letting people know- well, you may be jealous that I look so young now- but I've 'paid my dues' so to speak.

OK- that's enough bitching. I'm not bitter- really I'm not Just explaining the downside to such a 'blessing'

I always suspected it was my height. (I"m very short, but not short enough that you'd think I was a 'little adult') When you see me in person, it's a little different. I'm kiddie sized!
