Soap and shampoo right out of the shower. It smells so clean, like you're new. When I'm having a really rough day, I take a shower as my therapy. When I'm done, I feel like a new person and ready to take on the world. I've saved thousands of dollars that way.

3. When I say the word "grey", what is the first thing you think of?

The grey clouds when it's about to rain. Or just the sky when there's so much smog.

I'd be in Vegas and with him.

When I got into a car accident years ago while making a left hand turn. I still am apprehensive when making left hand turns.

At least 10. I always sleep in on the weekends.

When I'm by myself, I start off sleeping on my left hand side. When I'm not alone, I like spooning, with him behind me holding me close and keeping me protected.

It's so stupid, I am reluctant to talk about it. Let's just say I ignored the little voice in my head and I regret it to this day.

The truth is I am happiest at home with my family.

All time guaranteed to get to me is "Then They Do" by Trace Atkins. The first time I heard it I was by myself driving by the field where my daughter played softball in high school, and I literally had to pull over because I couldn't see through the tears.

7. What was your most frightening moment?
Probably when my son was sleeping, and I couldn't wake him up. I really panicked. Long story short, he had his headphones on, and I didn't see them.

8. How many hours of sleep did you get last night?
Five.

9. What is your favorite position to sleep in?
On my right side with Hub snuggled up behind me.

10. Do you believe in soul mates?
Yes, but I think of soul mates in terms of friends too, the kind where you can be separated for months at a time, and pick up right where you left off.

Well, I'm not technically a newbie since I have hit over 100 posts, but I still feel like a newb. So I will answer the questions.

1. What brought you to Lit? My friend Betticus told me about it, I lurked for a few then decided to join.

2. What is your favorite hobby? I have several - Making quilts (by hand), reading and cars

4. What is your weirdest claim to fame? I really don't have one, except that I really am one of the guys. I think more like a man than most of the men that I know.

5. What is your favorite charitable cause? Why? My favorite charity would be any womans shelters, or child abuse prevention cause. Why? I was severely abused as a child, and continued the cycle into my marriage, until last November, when I reaized that enough was enough. Thanks be that I had such a few good friends *muah to you*

6. What do you drive?Right now I am driving a borrowed Nissan Sentra, due to the BMW being fucked. I also have a porsche that I was granted in the divorce.

7. Describe your favorite place in the whole world. That would have to be Savannah Georgia. Went there when I was 17, love it, miss it, wanna take the SO there for a vacation.

8. What is your most wonderful accomplishment? My son. Loving him, missing him and raising him.

9. Where did you come up with your Lit name? Well, on another forum I go by Mistress J. That was taken. For a bit, I had a few girls that worked for me, as in escorts. Had a few men too, but they never produced. So I went with Pimptress J, since that is pretty much what I am.

I once took a pass on buying a condominium in Chicago's gold coast. It was 1976, the asking price was $15G, and I didn't believe people would want to own apartments. Today it would sell for approximately $900G.

The where matters not at all, so long as my beloved is next to me.

7. What was your most frightening moment?
Once I watched a car barrel through an intersection and head straight for my three-year old son, who was about 15 feet away from me. I am forever grateful that a light post got in the way.

It wasn't one of my best nights for sleep: roughly 90 minutes.

I generally start on my left side, knees slightly curled upward.


10. Do you believe in soul mates?
I believe that virtually any two people in this world could love each other deeply if they could properly open up to each other. At the same time, I also recognize that occasionally two people meet who are attracted in such a powerful way that they feel drawn to each other with the power of the earth's magnetic field. It appears to be a completely inexplicable phonomenon. I'm not surprised that people who experience this find it impossible to believe that another such attraction could ever occur.

1. What brought you to Lit?
I came for the stories, which I read for ages before I was game enough to look at the bulletin boards… I can’t remember what it was, but there was something I wanted to know “how-to”, and lo! I found a “How-To” board.

2. What is your favorite hobby?
ALL my hobbies are my favourites – karate, brazilian jiu jitsu, surfing, cross-stitch, crochet, reading, playing Age of Empires, travel.

3. What is your favorite quote?
“When your only tool is a hammer, all problems begin to resemble a nail.”

4. What is your weirdest claim to fame?
I’m the only woman in a 200km radius who does Brazilian Jiu Jistu! And I conducted the Royal Australian Navy Band in 1988! (I was 11.)

5. What is your favorite charitable cause? Why?
World Vision, ParaQuad, and local causes, like the Rural Fire Service. Why? WV because they are trying to improve communities that really need it, and the RFS because anybody in Australia should be grateful if they haven’t had their house burn down yet, and PQ because they’ve provided useful information to my dad!

A pink 99 Toyota Echo.

Ah, a toss up between sitting on my board beyond the breakline on a clear day, or curled up in my bed with my wonderful warm doona.

Being educated, well-employed, comfortable, and happy.

It’s a long story that lead to me saying “cake?” when I didn’t understand something, and working in an IT department, where I had to say “cake” a lot. Eventually a friend of mine “named” me cakegirl when introducing me to his computer nerd friends.

I’m going to quote Hotchkiss on this one… me on the bottom laid face down with my legs closed, him on top/behind me.

I love the smell of jasmine, wattle and frangipani.

I went to see the Sydney Symphony Orchestra play instead of going to the Big Day Out, where Nirvana were playing. Little did I know, the SSO wasn’t going to kill itself and make seeing them again some time in the future impossible.

Right now, I’m really tired, so I’d like to be in bed dozing, maybe with somebody big and warm to snuggle up to. Usually when I wish I was somewhere else, it’s because I’m cold and/or dissatisfied with my life, and I usually wish I was somewhere warmer doing something more relaxing, e.g. “I wish I was in Hawaii by the beach”.

Um, this is a hard one… I’ve been listening to a lot of Jack Johnson and Matchbox 20 lately, but I can’t think of something that particularly “touches” me right now.

When I was little, my mum and I were waiting for an elevator, and it came, and I got in and she hesitated to put out her cigarette, and when she looked up, the door was closed and I’d been taken away! I was terrified!

About 8, although it was restless sleep.

Halfway between on my side and on my belly.

OMG, every day offers me a new funniest thing ever, because it’s so easy for me to see the humour in any situation! Possibly the time I had to catch a plane in Finland from a little town to Helsinki, and I was hungover and sad (because I was leaving Finland, perhaps forever). I got a seat by myself, but my Australian friend had to sit next to a Danish dwarf who held onto my friend’s knee all the way and kept asking her questions in Danish.

37. What's under your bed?
Dust, dust, more dust, probably some clothes, a couple of books that have slid under there, plus whatever the cats have put in there.

38. If you were an actor/actress, what type movies would we see you in?
Assuming I was an actress, I would clearly also have the body, face and talent of an actress. I would have had Helena B-C’s role in Fight Club. I would have had one of the supporting roles in Blue Crush. And I would have had either Antonio Banderas’ or Angelina Jolie’s in that movie they were in together hahahaha.

1. That it was good for me.

2. Had sex with my then boyfriend, now husband on my parents' living room floor with them sleeping right down the hall.

3. Never had a break-up of my one serious committed relationship. I married him!

4. I think it would be possible to remain civil, but friends might take a while.

1.Whats the biggest lie you've gotten away with?

I lied to an ex-boyfriend about how his truck got damaged. I am sure he figured it out at some point, but he never brought it up again. Word to the wise: Alcohol, a hammer, a brand new truck and a temper do not mix.

Good Lord, yes. More than once. Let's see...I married my ex-husband after knowing him for three weeks. If that ain't love, what is? I once flew to Ixtapa to spend TWO hours with a man I loved, then flew right back. I've done things like that more than once. There are other, crazier things...I'm sure my friends could remember more than a few.

3. Is there anything that helps you get through a breakup?

Friends. Never underestimate the power of a friendly voice or a comforting hug. It works wonders.

I'm friends with all my exes, so...yes.

Good GOD, I can't believe you just asked that! I have to choose just one? lol I guess...lately...the rumor floating around that I was once married to a particular record producer in Nashville? I wasn't. Thank God. lol

I would be okay with it. I have often thought I would like to have another child anyway, so I wouldn't be upset, that's for sure.

If it counts as a hobby, I always like to learn something new and then apply it. Other than that, anything that keeps the 'ole grey matter working (eg, reading).

At the moment, to be honest I would go probably freak out (negating the factor of no partner). When it comes down to it however, I would give that child everything it could possibly need.
