2. Hub and I were talking about the election, and particularly about President Bush, and his qualifications. Maybe you had to be there, but Hub said, "Well, he stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night." I just lost it.

4. It was a fight with my darling straightlaced husband about our son getting a tatoo. I called him a name I have never said before during a fight, and left the room. I don't think we spoke for 2 days.

About a year ago. My ex-boyfriend and I got into a very serious argument. He threatened to hit me again. I just snapped. I said, "Since you're going to do that, I might as well give you good reason, huh?" I grabbed his brand-new, custom-built Gibson 335 and walked out the front door with it, grabbed it by the headstock and slammed it as hard as I could against the base of the oak tree in the front yard. The guitar cracked into a million pieces. Let's just say he didn't hit me after that, not one more time.

5. What do your friends think is the coolest thing about you?

I have no idea...you would have to ask them...(it's ironic when I can't answer my own damn questions...)

6. What do YOU think is the coolest thing about you?

I'm easy to talk to? And I do silly things that make people laugh.

7. What do you absolutely hate about yourself?

I get lonely pretty easily. I don't know why. I have so many friends, so many good things in my life, but I get lonely. And when I get lonely, I want to drink. I would rather have a numbing agent than a solution. And I hate that about me.

8. Phobias. Do you have any?

Birds. Big birds, like hawks and crows. They terrify me. Especially herons. Just thinking about them makes me feel spooked. And I have a fear of being trapped...in a closet or a tunnel or cave.

9. What is your favorite fruit?

Oranges. I could eat them all day long.

10. What is the coolest trick anyone ever pulled on you in bed...the kind of "Oh my god what did you DO to me" trick that made you beg for more?

That would be a toss-up between the bottleneck slide trick (if you have read the book, you know exactly what I'm talking about), and that thing my ex-husband pulled on me the last time we slept together. Holy shit. He did something with his hand. I don't know what it was, but after the third time he did it, I came so hard I passed out.

Flashing the uptight neighbors.

Well behaved women rarely make history.

I once gave a blowjob to a friend, in front of a roomful of other male friends, on a dare. I was 17. Maybe my actual claim is that I rarely turn down a dare. (note to self: stop that)

Center for abused women and children. Been there, done that, 'nuff said.

Lying sleepily next to my husband, snuggled up, on a cold winter morning.

Coming from an extremely abusive childhood, but realizing at a young age that it wasn't normal...and spending years educating myself in order to keep from falling into the pattern.

I can be quite outspoken and obnoxious if pushed, thus the Fiery. I'm also a tease...well, sometimes I'm a tease, sometimes I follow through...hence the Vixen.

Having escaped a 20-year abusive marriage, I am soooooooo proud of Sheath's inner fortitude. I understand that place of rage where it just doesn't matter anymore. For me, it was when I realized that I truly wanted him dead and realized I was capable of going there, I found the strength to get out and get away.

Gardening. . .flowers and vegtables, but unfortunately, I don't have the space now for a vegtable garden. A close second is my pets - five cats and thirty-some odd freshwater fish.

5. What is your favorite charitable cause? Why? The Humane Society. . . they are no-kill shelters, with an emphasis on the adoption of animals which are already here, and spaying/neutering pets.

My meditation bench in my garden. . . seriously. I can go there right before dawn, you know the moment of the day when the crickets have stopped singing, and the birds haven't started yet, and experience perfect peace.

Raising a son who has turned out to be a young man with an incredible heart.

From my job. . . Sharp used to be my last name and an older legislator who used to introduce me as that "sweet little thang" when I lobbied his committee finally took his eyes off my chest one day and actually listened to what I was saying. Afterward, he told his committee that I was a sharp chick.

1. What brought you to Lit? A very swift google search for "free erotic literature." I then submitted stories and stuck to that for a bit over a year before discovering the boards.

2. What is your favorite hobby? (other than Lit, of course, which rightfully should be everybody's favorite little hobby. )
Reading, great conversation and bad TV. So it's three, but I have more so you're lucky you got off easy.

3. What is your favorite quote? You can't steal second base with a foot still on first.

4. What is your weirdest claim to fame? (You know, the kind of thing your hometown would put on a road sign if only it weren't so...well...weird.) It might be blowing spit bubbles off my tongue. However, when you share that in a setting like lit., bands of people come in able to do the same. Okay, I once faked a splint on my middle finger to get out of gym...but I used a toenail clipper for the splint. Yeah, weird and lame. (I was seven at the time)

5. What is your favorite charitable cause? Why? I work with the chronically mentally ill, so I feel like my job everyday is a charitable cause. Chicago does have a newspaper called "Streetwise" that is run by the homeless and volunteers; homeless buy it for a quarter and sell it for a dollar. It's not only a decent publication, but it empowers people to work, without having to fill out an application and have a nice outfit. I buy it. Aside from Alzheimer's research and other causes close to home, I think supporting anything in the arts is important.

6. What do you drive? A Honda CRV; the mini of the SUV's.

7. Describe your favorite place in the whole world. It's got to be Algonquin Park in Ontario. I went to a canoe tripping camp on an island on Canoe Lake for several years and spent several more summers there with my family. It's hard to describe something that touches me so viscerally; it's aesthetically gorgeous, but's it's the essence of the place that hypnotizes me.

8. What is your most wonderful accomplishment? Getting my master's degree.

9. Where did you come up with your Lit name? It's my middle name, but when I registered I kept accidentally typing an extra 'a' at the end (possibly drunk, can't remember), until I found myself saying "aaah" and giggling like an idiot. It shamefully stuck.
