Resizing a picture to make it bigger and not getting a grainy or pixilated result is much harder than reducing a picture to fit -- especially if you're starting from an avatar sized image; ther just isn't enough detail available in 150x150 pixels for even the best resizing programs to work with.

Whenever possible, start with a "full-sized" image -- 640x480 or larger; the larger the better -- to get a good avatar or profile pic.

I actually was trying to make it smaller. I don't know why I couldn't just reduce it without distorting the image.

My husband is a computer geek (owns his own biz)... How do you think he would feel if I went and asked him to come re-size one of my semi-nude pics for posting on the Lit board?
