At least you two are getting close! I've obviously got some posting to do. I managed to load a profile pic though. Pretty cheezy, but the wife's got the digital camera and I can't really tell her why I need it.

Hi. Yeah, we'll all eventually get there. Oh, just go ask for it - she won't mind. I tried to post a pic on the profile page, but it looked too grainy from being resized. I've got a little more work to do on my pic, I guess. Welcome!

Resizing a picture to make it bigger and not getting a grainy or pixilated result is much harder than reducing a picture to fit -- especially if you're starting from an avatar sized image; ther just isn't enough detail available in 150x150 pixels for even the best resizing programs to work with.

Whenever possible, start with a "full-sized" image -- 640x480 or larger; the larger the better -- to get a good avatar or profile pic.

I actually was trying to make it smaller. I don't know why I couldn't just reduce it without distorting the image.

My husband is a computer geek (owns his own biz)... How do you think he would feel if I went and asked him to come re-size one of my semi-nude pics for posting on the Lit board? :D
