Hurricane craziness

Just got word from Sophie.
She and her family are going to be permanently relocating to the town and OK where they went during the hurricane.
Her kids seem to be adapting well, and the ones that are old enough are enrolled in school.
They are hunting for a rental to move into so she doesn't have to stay at her mom's anymore.

I told her that we miss her like crazy.
Keep holding her in your thoughts. :heart:

I think when she's settled we need to send her daughter some toys since she lost them from water damage...and the boys too. :rose:

And the oldest I think is a boy.

Can you imagine being in a car for must-have-been like 12 hours as they evacuated, with a 9, 7 and four year old?

I could throw together a box o' toys, too! Logo -- PM me an address & any ideas. My kids are 12, 10, 7 (with the youngest a girl) -- so I've STUFF to spare!

OK, I just heard from Sophie again - she sent out another email update.

She signs a lease on a new place in OK tomorrow and moves over the weekend. She'll have a phone on Monday and DSL sometime at the end of the week or early the next week. The kids are handling things well and she got A's in the classes she's taking this term. Overall she's very positive.

I still haven't heard back from her about specific needs in terms of clothes / toys / other things the family needs. As soon as I do, I'll PM the people who said they had stuff to share.
