I am Music

Last nite

I walked down to the beach and sat near a turtle nest and just let go all the
weight of yesterdays and for a few moments the fear felt like this...and then
the tide came in... :rose:
undertow

Leonard Cohen - Undertow Lyrics

I set out one night
When the tide was low
There were signs in the sky
But I did not know
I'd be caught in the grip
Of the undertow
Ditched on a beach
Where the sea hates to go
With a child in my arms
And a chill in my soul
And my heart the shape
Of a begging bowl

Other songs in Dear Heather

Illusion of Love

we linked hands tuned
by the sea

caught a falling star in sealed kisses
of forever more

and then we danced the two-step

burlesque style and tip toed striptease

till the jive band
played us the end of love

a folksong
for the storytellers in
another bluerain ending

I had never seen that one
thank you
:)
I love his Native American influences
I bought " An American Prayer" when it first came out, and have all his books of poetry.
He influenced me as much as anyone else and made me want to write poetry

This is another one I love

God, how these astrophysicists rock!

Did you know part of the way Brian May gets such a distinctive sound is that he plays using a pick which mimics the the feel and textural qualities of his original pick..a silver 6 pence coin?

He also, I believe along with his father, built his own guitars and pick ups etc.
Who says rock and roll isn't rocket science?

Kiss Them For Me is one of my favorite songs

and Bowie borrowing the Bo Diddley beat put me in mind of the man himself

Best show I ever saw was Bo Diddley and the Groovemasters Newport RI
He came out, plugged in his guitar, his name lit up and he played " The Star Spangled Banner"
Everyone stood up, and didn't sit down for the next 2 hours

Shook the mans hand, which were the size of canned hams
