I am Music

Joaquin Rodrigo (1901-1999)-Concierto de Aranjuez - John Williams, BBC Proms 2005. Full Concert HQ

A nice piece for a Sunday afternoon, this most famous of all 20th century classical guitar concertos played live by one of the greatest guitarist in the world.
There seems to be a problem with the tuning of the instrument, especially in the third movement but John as always manages to get the message through!

I've loved this concerto since first I heard it. Each movement is beautiful in a different way. I also love the way Miles Davis incorporated it into his "Sketches of Spain." :)

Hanns Eisler/Bertolt Brecht - United Front Song (Das Einheitsfrontlied)

United Front Song

And because a man is human
He'll want to eat, and thanks a lot
But talk can't take the place of meat
or fill an empty pot.

So left, two, three!
So left, two, three!
Comrade, there's a place for you.
Take your stand in the workers united front
For you are a worker too.

And because a man is human
he won't care for a kick in the face.
He doesn't want slaves under him
Or above him a ruling class.

So left, two, three!
So left, two, three!
Comrade, there's a place for you.
Take your stand in the workers united front
For you are a worker too.

And because a worker's a worker
No one else will bring him liberty.
It's nobody's work but the worker' own
To set the worker free.

So left, two, three!
So left, two, three!
Comrade, there's a place for you.
Take your stand in the workers united front
For you are a worker too.

Oh... what happened to that Bible thumper's submission of holy messages?
We could have had lots of fun!!!
:(

For Pelegrino. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzOthtCT7mY I am no bible thumper. Just a woman with a son. Pretty ordinary. I guess I can take comfort in the fact that I never killed him to appease the appetites of my own petty jealousy.

Thanks for the link, Playcatch.
Although I have been taught the play in high school and I've seen it performed in Epidaurus and in Athens( in Greek) and in London (in English), Pasolini's version of it still interests me and I will watch it when I have some more free time. I have seen this one in the past too, but I've forgotten about it. Anyhow, I very much appreciate this tale and the feelings of Jason and Media are depicted very vividly by Euripides (and Pasolini in this instance). I've seen it happening in real life, so I approve of your choice very much.

Now, help me understand.
You are PandoraGlitters, you are also playcatch, and you appear to be this third person whom I called "bible thumper". I don’t remember your third alias, what was it?
Why do you need so many aliases? Why did you not submit your complain about not finding a song that wholly describes you as a person under one of the two recognizable names?
I suppose you broke forum rules and that is why your post was deleted.
You were actively promoting another site that has nothing to do with poetry or Literotica.
You must excuse me, I am not a religious person, but even if you had submitted under one of your known names and had given the link to that site, still you would have been open and unprotected to criticism and fun pocking by persons like me.
I respect people's personal beliefs but I don’t think they have the right to propagate, proselytize or advertise about them publically.
I beg your pardon, but that's who I am and that is what I would do in all cases involving religion in a public forum.

Best regards.

I broke no forum rules. I have always been forthcoming and transparent when I change names. (Have you?) And you get around. Good for you. So why are you so angry?

:)

Cheers.

Plus where the fuck did I prostheletyze? Please show me where this happened and I might believe you. I am a lazy taoist. We don't have quotas.

Plus, I'll be happy to go one to one, poem against poem and see how we measure up.
Seriously. You got $5?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wu0fdS7OZsM (I apologize that this has an ad at the beginning as so many youtube videos do these days. But the song is good. Just mute the ad. or don't click. It's Cibo Mato's I Know my Chicken. Quite fun.)

It's fine to poke fun if you want to poke fun. But it's a bit hokey being pokey.

I have never prostheletized. I've never promoted anything other than an open mic I ran and that was privately, not publicly. Like other posters here, I did post alerts to places seeking poetry for publication. Several different places, most of them having nothing to do with me.

I guess if the site owners had a problem with that they would not have had me be a forum mod for two years, would they? Seems rather obvious that they would have told me if I broke a rule. No one has removed my posts. I removed other people's posts as I was charged to. I removed my own when I wanted to submit the given poems for publication.

If you believe for some reason I've done something to harm you or this place, please talk to me about it. I assure you I've done neither. I have actively promoted this place among poets I know and brought at least two here who were excellent poets. I would not do anything to harm a place I love.

I don’t understand very well. I am not in the habit of changing names. Do you know me by any other name?
What do you mean "I get around" and "Good for me"? Be more specific, please. Of course I get around quite a bit in real life, but where do you see me getting around in this site apart from the poetry forum and its threads and the submissions page?
Btw, I am not angry at all, just a little perplexed.

My remark was of a general nature about people promoting their religious beliefs in public forums and not directed at you in particular. I did not say specifically that you were proselytizing. Please don’t misread me, but if you feel yourself included in the group to which I referred, it is your opinion and you are welcome to it. Otherwise don’t take issue and don’t blame me for it.

I don’t have $5. I deal in euros.
I am not in this site to go poem against poem with anyone and "measure up". If you read any of my poems, or other people's poems, you will realize that there are quite a few good poets/poetesses in here with the same stance as I, going about their business without a wish to "measure up" to other poets.
So, what you propose sounds a bit daft to me. Is this a boxing ring or a poetry forum?

Obviously someone had a problem with your link to a religious site otherwise they would not have deleted your post.

I don’t believe you have done something against me (apart from been a little tiresome), but I cannot answer for Literotica. That is someone else's job, contact them.
Last but not least, if you want to reply to this post, please, do it in a more appropriate thread.
Leave this one to us for sheer musical enjoyment.
Thanks.
:)

PS. Pasolini's "Media" was taken out of youtube due to some copyright issue. It's a shame.

Pelegrino, perhaps we have merely misunderstood one another. I had no posts taken out of anywhere. That was someone else. Ask a mod if you don't believe me. Wasn't me. I would never prostheletize here or anywhere. I am not selling anything. I am really just here to have fun and write poetry.

Yup I can confirm this. Yesterday morning I saw a spam post in this thread. Its purpose was to link to a religious site. I moved it to the mod queue. I noticed from Pel's comment that he had seen the post as well. :)

Since that is the case, there goes our (glorious) misunderstanding to be admired for posterity:

Hey, playcatch, I insisted throughout that you were three persons. Why didn't you just say that you are only two, and leave it at that?
Me, I'm still one person but I'm working hard to reach a more elevated state.
:D
