I miss the fitness threads and the fitness Doms!

Gained 5 kilos in fat and muscle from my crohns's lowest low (about 3 months ago). 4 months ago, it took me an hour to hang out a basket of washing. I shed manly tears but fucked if I was going to give up.

Now I'm exercising every day after work and taking care of the diet. Even if its a 14 hour day - then I just do 15minute walk and a little bodyweight exercise. 'Off days' are 15 minutes meditating and 15 stretching.

My calendar is covered in little crosses for every day I've exercised. 120 in a row.

Way to go! This awesome news to wake up to! :D

Sex is exercise, right?

Ummm...it's better than watching TV. ;)

Sex is exercise, right?

Sex is exercise. Recently, for no reason at all I swear, I looked up how many calories you burn when masturbating. Okay, I did look it up for a reason because I was thinking of adding it to my exercise log, not that I would ever masturbate, mind you.

But you do have better sex when you feel good about yourself. So if you feel good when you exercise, then exercise. If you feel good being just as you are, be just as you are and say "screw" mass media that tells you you have to look a certain way.

My preference is exercise AND have sex. Double whammy.

I have always found that one uncomfortable. I just do other stuff instead. Have you tried using a dumbbell instead of a barbell? Sometimes that helps.
I keep trying something else every time. :)
See, I'm doing them in lieu of lat pulls....I just haven't changed the notation in my workout tracker.

I preferred dumbbell pullovers too. With my little girly 15 pounders.

I've losing motivation. It'll come back, but I'd prefer it come back a bit sooner. What do You do to pull yourself back in line when your verve wanes?

I'm sure other people on this thread will have better answers, but if I've learned nothing else this year it's this: Don't wait on motivation. Just get dressed, and go do it. If you have to change "it" up; then change it up. But, like Nike says, just do it.

I change up the routine. Go do something different, challenging, kooky, whatever.

Routine is the vibe killer.

Routine is great until it's not.

Gotta break free sometimes.
But, see, that works for me. I know what I have to do, I try to keep it consistent, I work out and I'm done. I don't waste time trying to figure out what to do next, etc.

Signed,
Boring in Oh

You know at the end of the sports montage when the dude is doing shit all fast and happy like, and then jumps and gets stuck in midair. That's me. :D

But I *do* put a lot of work into my shagging. I don't just lie there with my legs in the air! ;)

In my life it's great exercise. I usually have to chase them for two or three miles before they give in.

Great, thanks MWY. Now I've got the Benny Hill "chase" music stuck in my head :(

Muahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Egads. I've just been too busy to get to the gym this week. Will get back into it Tuesday, after bowling MOnday night.

Say I found a piece of equipment online. Brand new, came out the this year, top of the line, bla bla bla. So say I find it listed for almost 50% off. The listing says its cheaper even then the previous 2009 model.

Should I order now and laugh all the way to the bank. Or should I avoid the horrendous mix up where I have to waste my time trying to get a refund for the wrong stuff they sent me.

Is it from China? Especially Guangzhou (though you probably wouldn't know that). Look carefully - it may say sent by courier then USPS for example.

I just got burned on a box set of DVDs, but made enough of a stink (and initiated a PayPal dispute) so I got my money back.
I talked to a constable in the RCMP and he said it's rare that people get a refund.

I always start the week with a plan, even though by Friday the plan is completely different than it was on Monday. I'm lucky though, I enjoy it, look forward to it, miss it when I can't.

I do think you need to reward yourself for goals, and that helps. Little goals, little rewards, like an album I've been eying on iTunes once I hit my monthly mileage, or sneaking out for an afternoon movie if I squat body-weight plus xyz this month.

If I do well in a race, that's a bigger reward...bike parts, my OTHER addiction.
