I miss the fitness threads and the fitness Doms!

Been having foot problems, but I acquired some insoles for my shoes. They mitigate a lot of the pain. With that in mind, I walked 2 miles today before work. :)

Still sticking to my no-white-food diet (mostly). Got a yoga DVD from Amazon yesterday that I'm going to give a shot today after work.

I'm about *thisclose* to being able to fit back into a size 20. Yes, I realize size 20 is still ridiculously large, but when you consider that I have 24s hanging up in my closet, it's progress.

Good on you Bunny! :rose: That's not just progress, it's great progress!

Sir has very high insteps and it's difficult to find a comfortable supportive shoe for Him to walk in, but I think we have had success this time with a pair of hiking boots for $50 from a discount clothing/shoe store. These are surprisingly more comfortable than the $180 pair of sport shoes we forked out for 3 years ago

Yaay! This thread can be your cheerleading team

After like 10 sessions yoga gets easier, I promise

Thanks, Bandit! I have the opposite problem. I'm flat-footed, and it wreaks all kind of havoc on my feet, especially with all the extra weight. It figures that cheap boots would work better than expensive shoes, though. Story of my life, LOL.

Thank you. :)

This is actually a restorative yoga DVD, rather than a fitness one. I bought it to relax more than anything, but if I get the hang of this and enjoy it, I'll probably move on to something else.

I ended up walking 3 hours yesterday. I saw a couple of friends and they all wanted to walk.

No regrets!

I hit double digits, kilo wise, today. Kind of a big deal, I can't remember the last time I was under 100kg. It was probably about then I stopped keeping track of these things.

That means I've lost 21.4 kg / 47 pounds.

Yay.

YAY is right. I hope you did a happy dance. Dancing burns more calories.

I went to the doctor yesterday, trying desperately to get rid of the goddamn plague I've got. Anyway, they told me I'd lost 11 pounds since my last visit (which was the end of December). I've only really been trying to do better the last 3 weeks or so, so I would imagine that's when I lost the majority of that weight. :)

Thats really good hon, well done :)

Lizzie: That's brilliant too hon!

I've finally gotten my work outs back up to the "I need to take some flax seed oil" point again!

:D

I want a fitness dom. Someone to spank me when not working hard enough. lol

Lost 7lbs in the past month. Not sure if I should be spanked or rewarded.

I thought the fitness doms around here rewarded with spankings for good behaviour.

Punishing with desirable spankings confuses poor bottoms.

Bugger the arthritis flare up in my feet and spine - I'm gonna keep going to the gym and as for hikes with my doggy, fuckit - I'll just take a double dose of Ibuprofen and DO IT.

The sun is shining, I'm off work, I know that throughout May-Jun-July I'll be flat-out at work with no time for hikes or weekends off so FUCK IT - I'm just gonna mask the pain and DO THIS STUFF.

Go! Go! You can do it!

Why thank you, Lizzie. I'm all Ibuprofenned up now and will be off for a long walk in half an hour :)

So apparently the kids have decided that monday is "Walk with Papa" day after we went out last week, and they basically bully browbeat me into going this week again as "we aaaalways walk on mondays." Kids.

Also got the bikes out and started riding. Nothing serious, just 30 minutes at a fairly gentle speed, but, wow, my legs aren't liking me.

Good for you. I have the exact opposite problem: I need to do those things to get the children up and 'Walk with Me'. I instist they walk or ride bicycles with me three times a week and twice on Saturdays. I walk or ride more. Hopefully, they will begin to walk or ride more times during the week with me.

I'm looking forward to getting back into the fitness regimen soon. I have been SO busy with life in general over the past couple of months and going to the gym has taken a back seat to everything else. My pet and I have agreed that by June everything that's been pressing will have passed and we'll again hit the gym 3 or 4 days a week.

1hr run, and bodyweight exercises this evening. It's possible I will die from exhaustion tonight.

In the best way, naturally.

The group fitness classes at my gym are being changed slightly from next week. The ones that affect me are boxing going to 6.30pm instead of 7.30 on Tuesdays which is better for me as I am not so late home for dinner :) My Thursday pump class is being moved back to 5.30pm though which isn't so great, however they've put one on Fridays at 6.30 which I can get to instead.

There have also been other shuffles which means if I can't make one class there will be one on another day which will suit - much better than the old timetable :)
