I miss the fitness threads and the fitness Doms!

So the project Lance and I have been working on is for a major weight loss program website. The program is a good one and not one of those "pre-packaged food & pills" type scams. The irony, however, is that we usually eat very healthy but we've been so busy working to meet the deadline that we've been eating a ton of crap, or not eating at all.

We're going to have to ask the owner if we get a discount, lol

Anyway, when the site's up and the bugs are ironed out, I'd love to get some feedback from anyone on here who is trying to lose weight, or has tried to lose weight in the past. I believe the program is sound but I'm curious to know if that comes across on the site.

You can let me know here or by pm and I'll pm the link when it's ready.

I'll be happy to comment.

If I can have a size 32 waist by a week from Saturday I'll consider the challenge a success. And it isn't even March yet! Cold weather depresses me.

Well, deload was extended. We had what looked to be a blizzard rolling in this morning. My workout partner got here way late, and by the time he did, I was already gone trying to drum up some kerosene, and picking my kids up early from school. By the time I got back, he'd decided (smartly) to split for his place.

Still, clearing all the snow and ice from the van, driveway, etc was work. Guess it'll have to do.

Keroin, I'm happy to offer feedback if you're still looking.

Also, I couln't stop myself from clicking on the link in your sig line. Why would you put a giant "DON'T" on your sig line?? It's too tempting...

Thanks J! The site's launched but we're still tweaking. I'll pm when I think it's tickety-boo.

Sig line? Mwa ha ha!

ETA: That song is kind of my personal motto.

Consider me onboard! :D

Circumstances came together perfectly today and I got to work-out for over an hour with a friend! And, we are going to start taking yoga together! Starts this Saturday and I'm super excited.

Good for you!

:rose:

Thank you!

You guys rock...as always :)

My biggest complaint about firming up is that my breasts get smaller. It's hard to watch this happen. Of course the small waist/healthy ass ratio is nice. I'll focus on that instead!

I have a goal weight and I'm going to reach it! And a goal 5K time, I will reach it this year as well. Can you hear my determination!?

Yes I can! Go you!

I know what you mean about the breast thing. That's always the first place I lose any fat. The most I've ever weighed was about ten to twelve pounds more than I am now and I hated the feeling but I remember looking at my breasts like...damn, why can't they always be like that! Lol.

Squat Day

I really need to do breakfast before lifting. I felt like I was on the edge of dropping many times. During the last set, I got to the point where the weight felt light, but I couldn't really feel my legs. It's like they were asleep. When I finally racked it, I almost dropped the weight because I couldn't control it. I did a peri-workout drink (whey protein and maltodextrin) while working, but it was only so effective.

Note: Lack of breakfast was due to work hounding me from the moment I got up. Said hounding put me in a shit mood, and actually contributed to solid performance ont he last set even witht he nutritional issue.

135x5
185x5
225x3, well, okay, 5 Warm ups done
245x5
285x5
315x12

Rep calc says 441#, whee. I'll take that. I really did almost lose it though. Not fun. I just sorta stood int he rack for like five minutes puffing and coughing. I dig that sort of effort, but I could've squeezed a few more reps in had I eaten properly.

Went to do a pipe walk, and LB dropped it. The cold temps outside apparently made it brittle as one end shattered like glass. Lovely.

Knee-lifts with the ab-straps
1x15, 1x12

I wanted 15 on the second set, but I was gassed. In retrospect, a pipe walk probably would've laid me out.

As for boobs? I'd happily go back to my AA cup boobs which I was happy with. I'd REALLY like my concave tummy back!

:D

Small breasts are not a bad thing. It's all a matter of proportion.

Oh, I'm at peace with my elvish mounds, it's just annoying that the body part(s) that least need to lose mass is the first to do so. Meanwhile, the ass, which can spare the most flesh, is the last to give up any fat.

Life = irony.

(Not that I'm seriously complaining, BTW, I'm hunky dokey with my body as is).

OK so the lengthening days mean that as of today (sunrise 7.30 a.m.; sunset 5.15 pm) I'm finally able to get back to my full dog-walking schedule - three sweaty, fast, hilly walks on the headland per day. The full route used to take me 45 mins. Now it takes me 40 mins (I'm carrying 22 fewer pounds of fat - that'll be why).

So now I'm getting 3 x 40 mins = 2 hours per day of BRISK, BREATHLESS, SWEATY, HILLY walking, every single day.

Let's see if that doesn't boost my weight loss.

At the very least, I have a happy dog (I walk her off-lead... she must walk at least twice as far as I do, what with all the to-ing and fro-ing).

Problem I find when I lose weight is that the boob shrinks but the skin encasing the boob doesn't.

Fish oil supposedly helps with skin elasticity. That said, when you lose a lot of weight, nothing really helps but time.

Won't be long before we can do things outside. Well, before I can anyway. I don't do cold very well. But I love really tough 4 mile walks in the mountains and 22 mile bike rides. Once I get my butt toughened up I can do more on the bike. I'd say I'm a good 25 pounds lighter than the last time I rode my bike. That's 25 pounds I won't have to lug up hills. That's like having a bike that is 25 pounds heavier when you think about it.

See, that's weird, because I know almost every other girl says that but mine NEVER fluctuate. They honestly could stand to lose a little, especially since they look really huge when I'm smaller since the rest of me is smaller and they're still the same size. I wouldn't mind my ass rounding out a little more, either. Oh well. I'll take what I can get.

Well I wore a pedometer today. Only for the dog walks. So it didn't count the walking I do round the house, round the village or round the shops etc. Just the dog walking.

And today I made sure to do the exact same dog-walking - same route, everything - as I do every weekday.

The pedometer counted 12,720 steps.

Not too shabby for a daily routine (especially as the walks are hilly) - and if you add on my other walking in the day, it's probably more like 15,000 to 16,000.

Bought a pair of 32 jeans after the 33 just fell down without me unbuttoning them. I'm not big on jeans when it gets warmer so maybe just one pair of 31s if I get there. Part of me worries I could Oprah back up. This feels too good to fuck it up though. If I just stick with first principles I'll be ok.

Oprah back up. I crack me up.
