Not everybody can do that. Some people are only looking for online relationships, for various reasons. Or maybe they don't like the bars or the dating scene. In fact, it's pretty hard to guarantee you'll find kinky people when you're just at a regular meat market, and not everybody lives in a city big enough to have munches.

True, opportunity and circumstances prevented me from going out to meet people. There was no where a single woman could go comfortably on her own. Since I am not into a bar scene, even what was available was distasteful to me.

As a single parent, my time was occupied elsewhere as well. So, dating sites seemed the best way for me to meet people in real life. We could get rid of the "getting to know while getting totally drunk" phase of the bar scene and actually identify common interests.

I did join a civic group, volunteered my time to build a playground and attended community events. I did these things in part to meet people in the community. It didn't work as I was part of a very closed community.

So, I got on line and joined some singles sites.

However, what works for me may not work for everyone. That is just how it goes.

Nothing has so far lead to a lasting relationship but I have had some enjoyable dates and real time experiences. But it's like any dating scene you encounter... and you get to invest your time getting to know someone from your home before you waste time doing your hair and putting on eyeliner.

For us, that was really not an option - we can neither one go to bars or anything, there are no local smoke free bars/pubs - there are no fetish places within 1.5 hours drive, and that isn't really our thing either - and none of the munches meet at smoke-free places (or didn't at the time, the local one does now ... but tha'ts rather new). What were we supposed to do ... sit at home and hope that the perfect subbies would just knock on our door????

Because what we are and have always been looking for were full-time, live-in male submissives, we had up on our profile "single males only" - that means no women (we switch with each other, but really aren't attracted to women in general - we both by far prefer males), and no married (or even in a committed, but not married, relationship) people - even if both of the couple is interested. Since we are clear about that in every ad that we have ever put up ...
